1.2.4/7 and chan_modem
Hi, I am currently running several * boxes on 1.0.9 with HFC chipset ISDN modems using i4l's hisax driver and chan_modem. Will I be able to use my existing chan_modem setup with 1.2.4 or 1.2.7 or will I need to change it to use bristuff or chan_capi? I want to do the upgrade with as little changes as possible. Thank you Marnus van Niekerk -- "Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in o...

modules.conf again
...only a problem of concept, perhaps a wrong idea, only that. I please ask you to answer, because for me it's important to have everything more or less clear..... THANKS VERY MUCH in advance, and here they are, my two little questions... 1)As I have seen, to make Asterisk load chan_capi.so and chan_modem.so you must have: load=>chan_capi.so and load => chan_modem.so in your modules.conf. But I had understood some time ago that setting autoload => yes made Asterisk load every module that was necesary. Then, why must I load these channels explicitely? 2)For what is used the section [global]...

chan_capi, chan_misdn and chan_modem
Could someone please comment on the current state of chan_capi, chan_misdn and chan_modem channel drivers in terms of functionality and stability. Specifically, which channel driver would be best for a passive PCI HFC or W6692 ISDN card. The chan_misdn wiki claims that chan_capi distinguishes between junghanns and non-junghans cards, and that chan_misdn is better suited for general misd...

isdn4linux, NETjet, chan_modem help needed
I'm trying to get a basic Asterisk configuration together for ISDN incoming / outgoing calls. I have two Cisco 7905g phones working (at least talking to each other) and have purchased a NETjet-S PCI ISDN card for routing calls to / from ISDN. Analog modem as phone
Hi, maybe this has been asked before but I couldnt find a proper answer on the web or list. I want to use a analog V.92 modem to make outgoing (and possibly) incoming phone call through a standard analog phone line. I found on web it's easy been done via chan_modem.so module. But this seems removed from asterisk or buggy. So my questions are can I enable chan_modem.so to be built or what other way to connect a modem to asterisk ? Why chan_modem was deprecated? it seemed a nicer option instead of buying expensive gateways. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
