Hi there I am in the UK.. and am running latest asterisk on FC1 (2.4 kernel). I would like to know what the best option is for a 4 port BRI card. I notice Digium don't provide one.. I have heard the Junghanns do one...but are there others ?? Is the Junghanns card reliable/stable with good sound quality ?? I notice it is very expensive in a per port comparison with the Digium cards.... hence

Does anybody know of a WINDOWS application (preferably freeware) that will simply playback asterisk GSM sound files, I don't want to record them, just playback the ones that are currently there. Any help would be greatly appreciated cheers

Hi there I have been successfully using the asterisk command "MYSQL" to read information from a MySql database, but was wondering if there was any way of WRITING data (ie user input data) to the database ???, looking through the parameters of the MYSQL command it seems as though this function isn't available....is there another application for this??? Does anyone know of a way to play a random sound file in a given directroy. Ideally I want to incorporate the random play with the Asterisk 'Read' command, however any other suggestions would be good. Cheers Ed

Anyone know if it is possible to load your own XML scripts on to the phone, bypassing the Cisco CallManager? I am still waiting for my phone to arrive, but I have been playing with Cisco's phone services emulator, and that doesn't seem to like anything I pass to it. Excuse my ignorance here, but I am desperately trying to isolate the IRQ for my TE110P card (shown below as t1xxp) Ive gone into my bios and disabled all usb , parallel, serial and some other devices, those that I needed to keep, I have moved off of IRQ 10 and onto IRQ 5, but everytime I boot up, I get usb-uhci and ehci_hcd using IRQ 10 as well as my Digium card. Hi I wish to install asterisk 1.2 (the latest tar.gz from the site ....not the CVS version) on an HP box with a TE110P (single port E1/T1) My question is which OS would be preferred in this configuration Fedora Core 1 or Fedora Core 3, and are there any install guides out there that are recent enough for asterisk 1.2 I am also open to suggestions for other Operating Systems if any of you feel

As far as I can see there are time based ring strategies available but I cannot find any info regarding skills based routing or queue priorities. Thanks for that, I am however slightly concerned that due to the fast moving asterisk project (with new versions coming out regularly) that digium may start phasing out support for 2.4 kernel, I would like to settle on an OS for my customers and don't want to have to readdress the situation in one year because the 2.4 kernel is no longer the supported /stable version.
