printer does not print (stupid question : ( )
...e I have to upload evey printer driver, thats true? cups via web
I am trying to get into cups admin via web to check my cups printer but when I try to access : http://localhost:631/admin , it says that I don't have permission to get in. I can not get into my samba server with my windows machines
...get its files is via FTP, this samba server is also funtioning as Squid server but it does not have any problem. All my machines are Windows, and they are obviously in my windows domain, and I want them to have acces to this samba server ( this is in other domain)......... I know this may sound a bit lazy, but I don't really wanna bother with writing many scripts from the Administration of my SMB-2.2.2 as an NT PDC Box... (like adding users, deleting users, adding shares and modifying passwords stuffs, knowing that I do the Unix-SMB password sync)... So does anyone have good scripts, or some reference pages?? WINS Question?
I have setup my Samba server as a WINS server using the wins support = yes parameter. My remote network can see the Samba server at our head office fine. I have also setup the WINS setting on my PC (W2K Pro box) to point to the IP address of my Samba server. When I do a nmblookup -R -U <IP address of WINS server> <name of my PC> on my Samba server I get this reponse; querying pc1

I was playing with this on my test machine, (redhat 5.2, samba 2.0.3) worked great, and I was really impressed. So I decided to install this on my office machine. (redhat 4.2, samba 2.0.3) and the only significant difference is that on the office machine, I use encrypted passwords. I cannot get swat to authenticate on the second machine.
