Coding several dummy variables into a single categorical variable
Colleagues,
I have generated several dummy variables:
n$native0 <- 1 * (n$re=="white" & n$usborn=="yes")
n$native1 <- 1 * (n$re=="afam" & n$usborn=="yes")
n$native2 <- 1 * (n$re=="carib" & n$usborn=="yes")
n$native3 <- 1 * (n$re=="carib" & n$usborn=="no")
I would now like to combine these into a single categorical variable where the new variable would be n$native.
And values of native would be 0 through 3, where n$native0 would be a...

...valid network name in tree connect)
But I know the network name is correct. I can ping it. And what the heck is
a "tree connect"?
I can mount the Debian box on itself using the exact same syntax:
smbmount //debian/knothole /mnt
Any advice?

Creating a DVD with bootable ISOs
Hi All,
My question is:
Is it possible to make a DVD-R/DVD+R with a boot menu so that you could
select a particular bootable ISO on the DVD, and boot into that distro?
Asked another way, is it possible to boot an ISO burned as an ISO9660
file on CD or DVD media? If it is, how can this be accomplished?
TIA,
Andrew.

Centos 7 Kernel 3.10.0-693.11.6.el7.x86_64 does not boot PV
I thought I'd chime in and say that I'm seeing the same kernel-plus boot
failure that Shaun Reitan reported earlier. Is there likely to be another
build 3.10 kernel build coming down the pipeline that might fix this
issue? Here's the output of my failed PV domU boot:
