Cannot get two TE410Ps to operate correctly in the same machine
I've been running Asterisk for months with no problems. I have grown to
the point where I need an aditional TE cards. After many attempts I was
able to add the second card without affecting the performance of the
first. However, the second card is not working properly.
Setup
=====
- Running on a Dell Server.
- RedHat 8
- Asterisk 1.0
- I have two TE410Ps on that box, card 0 assigned to IRQ 4 and card 1 assig...

Looking for driver help
I sent an email out to freebsd-net without a response, soo this is my last
attempt at getting any assistance here.
I have a QLE3142-CU-CK (rebranded NetXen NX3-20GCU w/ NX3031 chipset) with
no driver support in *BSD from anything I saw. I came across solaris's ntxn
driver which seems to work appropriately but I have no use for solaris as a
host o/s. Naturally I'll attempt at trying to get

Re: If it's possible for a third-party PCIe card to be shared by multiple containers
Dear Daniel,
The thirty-party PCIe card is based on the Xilinx’ FPGA which is off the shelf, the main features are as follows:
1) x8 Gen3, 8Gb/s per lane/direction
2) MSI and legacy interrupt support
3) Scatter-gather packet DMA engine provide by Northwest Logic
We hope multiple Linux Containers to access the PCIe card in time division m...

Where to purchase ISDN (BRI) cards in Australia (preferably)
Hello all,
I was wondering if anybody knows where one might obtain a PCI ISDN
card supporting a single BRI for use with Asterisk in Australia (and
using something like chan_capi).
Because of the Isdn4Linux DTMF issue, I don't want one of those cards.
I've already spent too much time messing about with my current card.
I'm after something like the AVM Fritz! cards. I...

fxo cards
Hi all,
Is there any alternative hardware components for multi port FXO cards, other
than Single and E1 or T1 level? For example 4 or 8 port FXO card is ideal.
Also the price matters.
Thanks!

Hello everyone.
I've got a HFC ISDN card that I'm using with chan_misdn and it basically
behaves like crap. Echo is waaay worst then echo I get TDM400 card,
sound is "choppy" (there other side is allays complaining about sound
interruptions) and to top it all it detects fake DTMF's all the time.
Is this a chan_misdn...

strange errors in dev.log and webserver log
Hi guys,
I have encountered a strange error in one of my applications.
The details are the following:
The application is a very simple one, I have one model, Cards, it has
some pretty basic stuff, some after_save methods for saving uploaded
files to their places.
I have an UI where I can manage the Card records, with the default
methods, including ''edit''
cards_controller.rb:
# def edit
# logger.info "Loading Card with ID: #{params...

Digium cards just for timing
Hi,
I've found that neither Michael Manousos patch nor ztdummy driver
do not fix musiconhold sound interruption problem up to acceptable quality
level. Sound is choppy here anyway.
It is my understanding (please correct me if I'm wrong) that if I have
a Digium card in my asterisk machine, these problems should be gone
'cause those cards provide some reliable timing. So I have no choice
and wish to buy a cheapest Digium card just for timing. I have no PSTN
ports, it's pure voip environment here.
So my question is whether any Digium card would be ok or...

With 3ware cards depending on card model:
1. the card supports drives > 2TB
2. the card as initially released does not support these drives, but there
is firmware update after installation of which the card will supports

3. The card does...

VGA passthrough and nvidia optimus
Hi
Is VGA passthrough with an nvidia optimus laptop remotely feasible? For
those who don''t know, nvidia optimus is two hardware cards, connected to the
same display. One sandy bridge setup (I use the intel driver for this), and
one nvidia card. I have a laptop with this setup, and usually I''m using only
the intel card. I then use acpi_call to power down the nvidia card.
To use this optimus setup on linux I use bumblebe...

multiple crypto accelerator cards in one FreeBSD box
Hi there!
we are thinking of deploying a IPSEC VPN concentrator using multiple PCI bus
version VPN1401 cards in a FreeBSD box using hifn support..
From the technical specs in Soekris website
http://www.soekris.com/vpn1401.htm,
each card can support 24 to 70 connections. The question is if we
put 3 VPN1401 cards in a single box, does this mean the FreeBSD box can support
3 x (24 to 70) IPSEC connection...

TDM Card loses Dialtone and Battery
...on this problem before. Well here goes again.
I have an intel mobo with a p4 2.4ghz proc, 1GB Ram. It has built-in
ethernet and vga and 6 pci slots.
I dreamed of making this my household communications server: internet
router, firewall, vpn and asterisk. Everything works except the TDM fxs
card. Well it works for a little while and it dies: no dialtone, no ring
tone.
All 6 slots are filled: two more Ethernet cards, two digium fxo cards, an sb
live card and the tdm card. Everything that I don't use on the motherboard
is turned off: serial and parallel ports, serial ata and motherbo...

four wildcards in a single pc
Hi.
Please excuse me asking this again. But it really puzzles me.
We're installing asterisk at a branch office at NJ (HQ is at
Petach-Tikva)
It'll need to support 5 POTS lines, 11 analog extensions and four VOIP
phones.
I wanted to go with a T1 card from digium and a channel bank, but we
have a dead line. It has to be up and running by January 1st.
I don't have the time to start shopping at ebay, where you don't know
what you'll get, and you need to install, under time pressure something
you not familiar with.
So I thought of inst...

Fritz card technology & German *
Hi all,
I've been working with * for a long time now, but only with analog FXS/FXO
systems.
I am venturing towards setting up a box in Germany now and I believe that
requires a Fritz card? Do I even have to use the Fritz cards? Why not a
Digium card....
We have 2 ISDN lines ( --> 6 handsets) so I'm guessing that will require 2
Fritz PCI cards (they have 1 port only). Then there's some sort of channel
bank that sends the calls out to the extensions.
Does this make an...
