ATI mobility Radeon HD 5470
Hi , guys: I have a new Acer laptop and I have installed CentOS 5.5 x86_64 bit. The problem is that there is no driver for the ATI mobility radeon HD5470 and the graphic is so bad! On amd-ati website I have found the catalyst driver version 10.2 butit seems not to be the correct solution. The current screen resolution is 1024x768, but my laptop is widescreen and the best screen resolution is 1366x768. Do you have any suggestion? Thanks in advance .... installing package reshape and plyr on Debian Lenny
Hi all, has anyone tried and possibly succeeded in installing "reshape" package on Debian Lenny? I have a permanent failure because i cannot find the "plyr" package. I tried 10 mirrors. I contacted Hadley Wickham and James Long who seemed to have been closed to do it but it didn't work (meaning so far I haven't the answer from them). So has anyone any ideas as how to

Absolute Minimum Installation Packages
I'm trying to get the total Linux/* installation size as small as possible. I'm wondering if anyone has looked at the installed packages list from the Redhat installation [rpm -qa] and has parsed out all packages not needed for * to run. I follow the custom install guide from Andy Powell but the installation yields 948+ Meg with 340 installed packages. I'm sure most of those packages
