[R-sig-Debian] installing package reshape and plyr on Debian Lenny
Hi all,
has anyone tried and possibly succeeded in installing "reshape"
package on Debian Lenny? I have a permanent failure because i cannot find the
"plyr" package. I tried 10 mirrors. I contacted Hadley Wickham and
James Long who seemed to have been closed to do it but it didn't work
(meaning so far I haven't the answer from them). So has anyone any ideas as
how to install "plyr" on Debian Lenny. I can't find a source for
linux at cran.
Thanks,
David.

It had no explicit dependencies, though butler was a suggests. The file stamps seem to indicate I did that 2009-04-30, though it's possible I did it earlier and then copied it. Ross Boylan

Hi,
the plyr source is on CRAN. So I do not understand where you have looked for
it.
http://cran.r-project.org/src/contrib/plyr_0.1.9.tar.gz
did you try
R> install.packages("plyr")
under linux?
Kind regards,
Johannes
