My last post buggered - FWD about patch version2
No idea why my last post buggered, so here's what I meant to send
(attached is his actual patch):
Hi!
I made a little patch I'd like to see integrated (if appropriate)
which makes Compiz usable in desktop+TV-out setups. It adds the
--only-current-screen option to compiz which tell it to only manage
the screen defined by $DISPLAY and leave the others alone.

Regarding the De-bugger in R
Hi,
I would like to know if there is some debugger in R where I can check that I
am not using or not doing calculation on my previously stored objects. I
can't use rm (list = ls()) to remove all the objects since I am using a for
loop for reading 500 files and making making common calculation for each
file, therefore I need to keep the track of my iterator. Is it possible to
remove everything

Early warning wrt Win2K
It looks like Microsoft buggered up Win2000 so that explorer hangs while
trying to view a directory on a Samba server. I can't experiment any more
since I removed Win2K beta 3, but I thought I'd give the list a warning.

I have a couple of chickens, and yes, the buggers do fly if you don't
clip their flight feathers. :-)

smbclient using SMB2+ against NetApp OnTap 8.2 anyone ?
So I just spent a frustrating day trying to
get smbclient from 4.2.x and master connecting
to a NetApp 8.2 box using SMB2 or SMB3 with
NTLM auth.
Short answer - it doesn't work :-(. Longer
answer - the NetApp is choking on something
inside the SPNEGO NTLMSSP packets we're sending
it - giving the error that it couldn't parse
the SPNEGO packet.
Unfortunately (and knowing bugger-all

member server resolv.conf question
...a: setproctitle not initialized,
please either call setproctitle_init() or link against libbsd-ctor." I
have never seen that before!!!
The /var/log/syslog discusses updates for one of the W10 clients but
doesn't look abnormal.
Your thoughts?
(This reply is about when my email client buggers up, sorry if it does.)

This is frustrating! Need some Help
Hello everyone.
Im not sure what is wrong here, but I cant seem to figure out why one of my
users cannot access a share on a file server that we are running here.
Running on RH 8.0, samba 2.2.7a. (Planning on upgrading eventually)
Anyway, one user for some reason, cannot access the share through his
network neighborhood icon.
Here is the share info:

SMB sharing under Mac OS X Server
Hello all:
I've scoured the web for a solution to this problem to no avail, and thought someone on this list might be able to point me in the proper direction... I realize this isn't the best place for Macintosh help, but it is Samba related, so please bear with me :-)
Some quick background: I have a Power Mac G4 Dual GHz machine running Mac OS X Server 10.1.4, and have a Micronet SCSI

Strikethroughs and dashes
Who really uses strikethroughs?? This is one of the most common
tripwires in RedCloth.
You are the friend--the only friend--who has offered to help.
Obviously em dashes.
I died in -2006- wait, no, two-thousand-FIVE!
Obviously strikethrough.
I''m going on a trip - a long one - to the Virgin Islands.
That''s got to be en dashes.

Error: Client not receiving data fast enough
Hmmm, I am using Winamp for my client, will upgrade it, but it works for
other shoutcast/icecast streams. There has to be something buggered up in
my config somewhere. It sounds as if Ices is sending data too quickly to
icecast(?), will blow it away and re-complie it and see what happens.
Thanks for the help so far.

Greetings
yesterday i was resetting an account from a script. and the user was deleted an re-added. subsequently the user now has two dovecot directories. One is active and working, accepting mail, and the other sits with all previous messages.

Xorocom Missing files...where to get it? astribank_upgrade
Hi Everyone,
I was on Xorocom site but there is no clear and consice place to download
drivers and firmware. I am reading their instructions to install Astribank 8
channel FXO on Trixbox 2.8 and I seem to be missing files at this step:
[pbx.archology.com dahdi]# /usr/share/doc/astribank_upgrade
/usr/share/dahdi/
-bash: /usr/share/doc/astribank_upgrade: No such file or directory

Has anyone complied Wine onto a Sparc (Suse 7.1.)?
The actual machine I have is a SPARCStation20.
I know I can't d/l the binaries, but I've heard that it's possible to
compile the source.
I'd like to hear from anyone that's accomplished this feat, with, if
possible some pointers on how to do it.
I've never yet compiled any source code, (I find it difficult to grasp the
ins-and-outs of it ("./configure" this,

Cups..works on LM8.1, LM8.2 but not LM9
...nybody had this problem
many thanks
ps.... is it possible to set up a LM box so that students print from a
windows machine to the samba box, and then the samba box sends it to
another windows machine to actually be printed. I need only selected
students to use the printer ( otherwise the little buggers sneak in and
empty all the cartridges, then sneak out again )
Many thanks
