Problem with connecting another subnet
...o not want to know it :-) Am I correct? web, gateway and backup have NO direct lan connection and you want to connect them via tinc. If you need the "Amazon way" AND you have no double ips, you can use tinc in switch mode and use your 10.0.0.5/10/101 ips directly. But switch means every broadcats will be transportet to every tinc node. Normaly you would use 3 different local networks, 10.0.1.x, 10.0.2.x, 10.0.3.x, then you can use tinc in router mode (default). Again you can just use your local 10.0.x.y ip for tinc and route all 10.0.0.0/16 traffic to tinc. Which is done automaticly if yo...

UDP broadcasts vs. nat Masquerading issue
...for attaching bridged (as opposed to NATed) VMs managed by libvirt. Clearly, libvirt somehow chooses to set up masquerading for literally all existing network interfaces here (except lo), but I can't see a real reason for the first two rules in the list above. Furthermore, they corrupt UDP broadcats coming from outside and reaching this host (through enp0s25/br0) such that source address gets replaced by this hosts primary address (as per masquerading). I've verified this by arranging a hand-crafted UDP listener and printing the respective source addresses as seen by normal userspace....

Helix into Icecast2 loopback
...mpiled trplayer with the LD_PRELOAD=/usr/local/lib/libmemc++.so (which I compiled with the missing __builtin_vec_new etc functions) prefix it seems to work ok. The problem with that is I cannot pass this into vsound. $ vsound LD_PRELOAD=/usr/local/lib/libmemc++.so trplayer rtsp://my.stream.net:554/broadcat/live.rm Doesn't work because the extra preload argument isn't passed into vsound correctly. ARG! I guess my only option left is to recompile vsound with the preload bit included... Otherwise I give up. And onto the next problem of mp3 streaming into flash... Hash

----...

Helix into Icecast2 loopback
Hello. I've made some progress on the issue. I found a tool called TrPlayer which is a text mode front end for real player - initially developed for the use of the visually impaired. The theory is that I can use this and pipe the live stream into vsound which then in turn is passed into ices or another source client. Trouble is, I'm having all sorts of trouble compiling Trplayer on the
