blocking spammer by callerID "name"
...n,GotoIf($["${goaway}" = "V3" ]?blacklisted,s,1)
but I just got another spammer (automated calls) who rotates his callerID number that starts with valid area code so blocking by prefix is not practical but it seems to
me he uses the
same (or few same) caller name like:
"Brit. Columbia "" <16047726633>"
"KHAN SHARON "" <16042984429>"
"Brit. Columbia "" <16042231781>"
So I was thinking the same subroutine can be used to block by CALLERID(name), isn't it:
exten => 4,n,Set(goaway2=${CALLERID(...

ColourDialog
The ColourDialog (Darn Brits messing up the spellings of perfectly good
words!) has a weird behavior. When you first open it you can''t select a
color from the ''rainbow'' on the right side until you select a basic
color on the left. I don''t think this was the case before we did the

OT: Do You Know What the Problem With CDMA is?
It's OT but I thought it was funny enough to point out seeing this is a
telephony list...... world wide data.....like the 'world series' of

Inclusive language in LLVM: can we rename `master` branch?
...;t-name make life very
difficult. I was never able to participate properly when the subject of
race came up on Groklaw - "black" was seen as an offensive and banned
word, and of course I can't use the phrase "African American". The
equivalent here if I said "African Brit" stinks of an accusation of "you
traitor!" They're not Africans, they're Caribbeans or Nigerians, or or
or. And many Africans are White South Africans, and some Caribbeans
(like me) are also white.
How many people here remember Michael Portillo's "Cricket Test&qu...

* -> SMS w/out PSTN
Hi all
I have been googling and wiki-ing and have found a number of potential
solutions to my questions, but I don't want to have to play about for too
long and risk messing up my * box now I've just got it working, if one of
you kind folk could offer your 2 penneth, (being a Brit I'll have none of
this cents business ;] ).
I want to send an SMS message whenever I get a voicemail left on my *@home
0.6 box. I don't have any pstn attached the the box, and I am running FWD,
voipuser, and alg as providers for various routes and redundancy. I can

Useful information - UK exchanges and SystemX/SystemY and how ISDN works!
Hi all,
I thought this may be useful information for the Brits reading this list:
I installed a * box (one ZapHFC BRI) for a customer last week and noticed
the following warning every fifty seconds:
== Primary D-Channel on span 1 down
Dec 6 17:31:19 WARNING[213005]: chan_zap.c:1989 pri_find_dchan: No
D-channels available! Using Primary on channel anyway...

TDM400P > BT
Hi folks,
Any Brits on the list got experience of hooking devices with standard BT plugs to the TDM400P? The TDM400P has the RJ11/RJ45 socket but I'm not sure if a standard adapter will do the trick or if we need to consider ring capacitors etc. Any links to buy the stuff would also be appreciated.
Cheers,
Simon...

issues when machines inside the local network try download big files.
The download starts, but in an arbitrary amount of time it stops. I
think it is a problem with the return path of the TCP connection, but
i don''t know how to solve this.
Hope somebody help me.
Thanks.

Think how much fun it would be if Chevy engineers thought the brake should

US telco lingo
Could someone explain to a non-US dummy the following phrases I have seen on
the list.
"I can provide you with tier 1 termination 6/6. I can blend or NPANXX
breakout."
"We provide US48 termination, blended rate for 1 MOU and above is .008 with
6/6."
What is 6/6?
What is US48?
What is blended?
What is MOU?
What is NPANXX breakout?

Optimised-code debugging experience Round Table
Hi Eric & Orlando,
It’s great to see interest in a lot of different aspects of debug info. At the same time, I’m concerned about a risk to making the topic so broad that we don’t have time to get through all the things people want to get through. I’m thinking there’s a different way to slice the topics, hopefully without much overlap, but that will allow a bit more focus. No doubt a lot of
