Libnss-mdns problem
Hi there!
I've got a problem with running wine under Debian.
When i try to start a download following comes :
root:~# wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Valve/HLServer/HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game brink ~/server/brink
It appears that libnss-mdns is installed on your system,
but lib32nss-mdns is not. Please note that Wine will not be

pv-grub Solaris support
Hello all,
I''ve patched pv-grub to allow it to boot a Solaris PV domU using an
unmodified menu.lst. The attached patch has been tested with various
Solaris versions (Solaris 11 Express, OpenIndiana 151a, OpenSolaris 134,
Nexenta Core 3.0.1; all 64-bit). I appreciate your feedback.
The patch consists mainly of Oracle''s grub modifications, which add ZFS

m3u - file definition
Hello
is there any documentation on the .m3u file definition ?
I want to define a .m3u playlist where I have to define the start and
end point of the single mp3 file.
The .m3u files is supposed to handle multiple tracks from one file.
Just with put a tab, start time (seconds), tab, end time (seconds) after
the path to
mark where it starts and ends in the file.

legalities of streaming
Where would you find out who's in charge of this in the country you're
in (other than just doing it and waiting for letters from lawyers ;) ).
Thanks

Name Resolve Order?
I am a little confused. In the smb.conf man page under the "name resolve
order" section, it states that setting "name resolve order = wins" will be
ignored if the "wins server" parameter is not set. Elsewhere in the man
page it states that if you set "wins support = yes" then you cannot set the
wins server parameter. Does this mean that a machine that is

legalities of streaming
Hi list,
This might not be the right list to bring this subject up on, however I
thought it might be a good place to start.
What are the current legalities in relation to non commercial music streams,
or more accurately put non profit streams, and is this currently being
seriously policed?
Basically I am wanting to start up my own online station, but I don't really
want to get my butt

Re-2: streaming MP3s?
I'm using icecast-2.0-alpha-2 and ices-2.0-Beta2.
When I put the .mp3 file in my webroot and start laying it via winamp/location/<filename>.mp3 it works fine, just when I try using the playlist via ices I get a 404.

following error:

I did make sure that iptables has port 8000 open for

Bug NOT fixed in wine-1.5.3
Hi,
just a note to alert you, bug #27157 is marked fixed but it's not, only OSSv4 users have sound with brink game, alsa and pulseaudio users don't have sound with this game, tested with vanilla wine-1.5.2 and wine-1.5.3. I test with both "dsound" and "OpenAL" mode for this game, with and without dsound.dll presence in the prefix.
I can't test with coreaudio (OSX
