Not enough memory to run installer
I'm trying to install a game using Wine (Company of Heroes Multiplayer Beta), but when I try to execute the installer, I get the error: wine: could not load L"Z:\\home\\bratch\\CoHBeta_1_19_0.exe": Not enough memory Somebody on #winehq suggested I move it to ~/.wine/drive_c/, but this gave the same error. The installer is 1.6GB, and I have tried to run it with varying amounts of free memory, including a fresh boot where I had 1.9GB of memory free. The installer c...

Running a .NET 2.0 application in Wine
...#39;m not sure if this is even a Wine issue or a Mono issue, but I've also tried with native Mono, and I get a completely different error, which suggests that it is Wine. The application in question can be freely downloaded here: http://www.wowglider.com/InstallEx/Launchpad.exe Thanks, Luke Bratch ___________________________________________________________ Yahoo! Internet Explorer 6 Setup & A
--- James Hawkins <truiken@gmail.com> wrote: > Please try running ie6setup.exe from your home > directory and report back. An interesting development: Running it from the home directory didn't help, but running it, letting it fail, then running it again works (regardless of location). The installer finishes ok, and places all the files in Program Files/Internet Explorer.

New Wine help and discussion forum
Hello, There is a new Wine help and discussion forum at http://www.wine-forum.org/index.php that is meant to be a meeting place for anyone interested in Wine usage or development. In the past there there has never been a single forum dedicated solely to Wine. The lack of a single forum has left people to post Wine related help and discussions in other forums. At the moment most users turn to

config moved?
Hi Folks #1 Has ~/.wine/config (http://www.codeweavers.com/support/docs/wine-user/config-file) moved? Under ~/.wine/ I have no "config", but I do have the 3 files: system.reg; user.reg; userdef.reg. Is one of these now the "config" file? And #2 I installed Windows native ole32.dll into ~/.wine/drive_c/windows (as per the ole32.dll accompanying text file - well,

Internet Explorer 6 Setup & App DB
Hi, some time ago (around 7. May 2006) there was a coment in the App DB to get the setup of Internet Explorer 6 working. The Coment was about removing some dll names from the wine.inf file. The coment was removed from the App DB, but the setup still fails for me with current cvs (~2 hours ago). Therefore i like two know two things: - does anyone remember which lines needs to be removed

3DMark06 doesn't detect Pixel Shader 2.0
When trying to run 3DMark06, it doesn't detect at least Pixel Shader 2.0, and therefore refuses to run any tests. I've tried with and without UseGLSL = enabled in the registry, and Pixel Shaders are turned on. Pixel shaders and vertex shaders are both detected as 3.0 by other apps, such as the Call of Duty 2.0 start up process. 3DMark03 has a Pixel Shader 2.0. test, which it detects and

As I said I tried that method, it didn't work. I get an error that it cannot download the server list when I place native inseng.dll in system32. Send
