Hi, sorry for the newbie hardware questions but here it goes scenario - our telco is feeding us e1 thru coax connection (unbalanced) - so the coax feed rx-tx goes to our old pabx using ericsson bp250 - what we wanted to do is to install asterisk in between hence telco<-->asterisk<-->bp250 using asterisk to power up the voip portion the problem is the we are getting crackling sound when we make calls from the old pabx extension, it seems that there is a lot of line noise due to emc....

...allerid range of the calling PBX. our customer uses this feature to show the callerid of the original caller when redircting a call to a mobile phone. i searched through the sourcecode of chan_zap and a little bit through libpri but did not find any variable containing the number. our ericsson BP250 PBX formerly connected to our E1 showed the callerid set by the caller correct. in the CDR of the ericsson both numbers appeared. any help is appreciated. regards frank sautter
