Why not pulseaudio?
...ly soundsystem in linux which seems user-friendly and reliable to me, while at the same time eating not too much processing power. Furthermore, it is the only one which for me "just works", without making me fiddle around with configuration files for weeks. So: why is there this childish boycott of wine developers against pulse? I would rather stop using wine and reinstall windows than abandon pulseaudio. Even after working on my several linux machines for years now. Does developing wine necessarily include ignoring all technical progress? Pulseaudio won't just disappear just because w...

If they can't create stable and usable firmware they should atleast let the info out to let someone write IAX firmware for the damn thing. Hello everybody, I've got a problem concerning the function unique. I have got a data.frame "shopdata" with 1000 shop which were evaluated at different points in time. With function subset I chose those shops with more then 10 employee and store it in data.frame "bigshopdata" with 700 shops. bigshopdata=subset(shopdata, shopdata$employee>10) Now I use

Help on finding specific columns in matrix
Dear All,   I have a matrix with 33 columns and 5000 rows. I would like to find 2 specific columns in the set: the one that holds the highest values and the one that holds the lowest values. In this case the column's mean would be apropriate to use to try to find those specific columns because each columns mean is different and they all change together based on the same "change of rate

[CentOS-announce] CentOS 5 i386 - The CentOS-5.3 i386 Live CD is released
Umm... is there any rational reason to only announce the CentOS-5.3 Live CD on May 27, when it was available since May 19, and Patrice has updated the Release Notes on the same May 19? The CD date is indeed 19-May-2009 02:50 and I've found it on May 21 on all the mirrors I've checked. I was persuaded that the only 5.3 LiveCD available was from ScientificLinux, and I've checked with
