...users I am sure ignored me because im not
worth their time, and then some other users tried to help but was unable to
dumb their speech down to newb levels. However I am thankful that there is
people here to help out. I am hoping someone with CentOS will take notice at
my difficulty in finding the bloody manuals and will put a link for future
newbs that says "Download Manuals Here". I also hope in the future if I
have questions I will be able to get the answers I seek and those who helped
me before will be able to help me again.

Dont show zero values in line graph
...ut cant for the life of me figure
out how to show a line graph with missing data that doesnt continue the line
down to zero then back up to the remaining values.
Consider the following
x<-c(1:5,0,0,8:10)
y<-1:10
plot(0,0,xlim=c(0,10), ylim=c(0,10),type="n",main="Dont show the bloody 0
values!!")
lines(x~y, col="blue", lwd=2,)
My data is missing the 6th and 7th values and they come in as NA's so i
change them to 0s but then the plot has these ugly lines that dive toward
the x axis then back up. I would do bar plots but i need to show multiple
sets of data o...

I would wholeheartedly disagree. This IS something systemd specific. I
have never seen init.d blow itself up over bloody symlinks. The
readahead, while /possibly/ nice isn't at all necessary on modern
hardware. I want my hardware to boot consistently, not bomb like an
Adam Sandler movie because of /symlinks/.
But hey, call it flamebait if you want. I'd be willing to bet a year's

wrong data interpretation in R
Hi,
maybe somebody would be kind enough to help a bloody and unprofessional
beginner like me (and I hope I did not overlook the answer to my question on
the website). I've imported a csv data frame into R, but I can't run a
regression because R interprets 4 out of 5 variables as factors (rather than
numeric vectors). I tried the as.numeric() comm...

100% CPU usage
Hi,
Without going into all the bloody details we see a number of apps
running under Wine-0.9 that take 100% CPU when running.
1) Is this expected?
2) How can I look more deeply to see what is causing this to happen?
We're just using 'top' and looking at usr, sys, etc. and seeing it go
to 100%, even when the system is sit...

memcache-client working for anyone?
I''m at the bloody forehead stage, so I figure it''s time to ask. After
installing the robot coop''s memcache-client which everyone apparently
recommends, it refuses to work because the rails cache.rb is invoking
the read() method on the cache, which it _does not have_. Their library
has get() and...

dahdi-channels.conf vs. chan_dahdi.conf
Hey, all. Just added an analog card to our dual-T1 system... and
clearly I'm doing something wrong. Less interested in having the
specifics pointed out than in finding out how/why certain things work.
So, really, three things:
* What the bloody Hell is the difference between dahdi-channels.conf
and chan_dahdi.conf? (And who thought it was a good idea to have two
files with, apparently, different functionality, but very similar
names?)
* If I'm getting power to my analog phones, but no dial tone, which
file should I be editing?...

UW-IMAP -> Dovecot : patch to remove nasty "internal messages" from UW-IMAP ?
Hello there,
We want to move from UW-IMAP to Dovecot (mbox format), works like a

all his mailbox files :

Installing 4.3 from CD
Howdy,
I hate to bother everyone with something so simple, but I've beat
my head bloody on this one. I have a new machine with an MSI
RS480M2-IL motherboard (ATI Xpress200 chipset) and a
Hammer DVD Writer (shows up as a Matshita DVD-RAM SW-9585).
Anyway, I downloaded the CentOS 4.3 iso's and burned them to
CD. When I boot the new machine it says:

Cisco 7960 & asterisk 1.8.22 ringlist.dat error
...y 7960 to Sip 8.12 as provided by
Cisco, however now the phone does not and will not read the RINGLIST.dat
file. I've tried rebooting the phone, tried resetting the phone back to
factory, have deleted the RINGLIST.dat file and reloaded the phone then
reinstalled the RINGLIST.dat, and still the bloody phone will not read the
file.
I have not been able to locate anything in google about this kind of issue
and am at a loss as to what in the world is the issue.
I have asterisk 1.8.2.2 installed with the FreePBX module with a 7960 just
recently flashed to 8.12. Not sure what else you all ma...

Can't create subfolders of my INBOX or delete folders with IMAP
...Most of the general linux email documentation I've found
either doesn't mention IMAP, or doesn't mention dovecot, or both. I can
barely find any references to the concept of "subfolder" at all. I
really don't want to know anything about email servers, I just want the
bloody thing to work. Trying to figure out what the hell's going on is
really frustrating!
On the server, I seem to have various mailboxes distributed around the
place. I've got a mail box in /var/spool/mail. I've got a file ~/mbox,
which seems to be very old and is therefore probably a...

[External] Re: Installing a single rpm package from desktop/browser on CentOS 7
....
In many case, but in the situations I'm talking about here is really a
lot more cumbersome to use. To use the command line to install a a
package from a website, I have to
1. Right-click
2. Select Save Link As
3. Enter filename/directory
4. Open a terminal
5. Remember where I put the bloody file
6. Run yum to actually install it.
Compare that to
1. Click on the link
2. Hey, there's no step 2.
The 2nd variant is something that's was working for about 15 years, but
I guess that was before someone decided to make the system "user
friendly"...

Merge, Compact Ofuscate or Compress Javascript Lib ?
Hi !,
A little question about JS Lib manipulation...
- I found that DOJO toolkit gives a DOJO Compressor jar file to
compress JavaScript
http://dojotoolkit.org/docs/compressor_system.html
- On the other hand there''s no docs in Prototype or Scriptaculous and
prototype files are merged.
Why ???
1. Compacting file will reduce bandwidth but is it useful with a
server that gzip .js ?
2.

Can this be done?
...rmal http request containing a URL from a remote
server.
Instead of redirecting to that URL, I want to load it into an iframe on
an existing page.
I''ve tried a number of approaches with no success.
Can anybody suggest a good way to do this? Alternatively, if you can say
"this is bloody impossible, because....", that would be helpful, too.

systemctl enable auditd
systemctl start auditd
Now your SELinux (and other audit) logs are going to
/var/log/audit/audit.log.
