Can't you do it all from the one instance? I'm pretty sure I've seen it
done.
Geoff.

Multiple bitrate from the same source ?
Hi,
I'd like to broadcast the same source at multiple bitrate. Is it
possible ? Have you got some clues ?
Regards,
Pascal

low bitrate sounding better? (20k-30k)
At SxSW I ran into the Xiph gang and someone said something in passing that the new version of Ogg Vorbis would have much-improved low-bitrate quality.
Wondering - true? Details? ETA?
At CD Baby all lo-fi soundclips are still in the SFERA format*. At 20k bitrates, they sound GREAT which is why I stick with it, but I'd much rather switch them ALL over to OGG if there was a way to make

FreeBSD in general
Hi there guys... I've been watching the list for a while, had a quick
question.
I work for a company (Turtle Beach) that makes a product that takes MP3
files that reside on your PC or Network Attached Storage, and lets you play
them anywhere else in your home. (From your stereo for example.)
Anyway, we've added basic MP3 streaming support (and have now gone to
external beta) that

Ogg/Icecast vs. Real
After reading through an older thread on this list (streaming ogg
audio), I was wondering if would be possible in the future to use
OggVorbis and Icecast as a replacement for RealAudio and RealServer. By
this I'm not talking about simple live http/tcp streaming, but on-demand
rtsp/udp streaming where a user could open a player and instantly jump
to a location in a file, or click a link in a

Liveice & Icecast...help
Yes, I downloaded the aumix utility and am using it now. Set line in to %50
then %25 and to record but still the same thing. I'm streaming from the
line in on the sound card which is being fed from a portable radio nearby.
I get the distortion whether I have the audio fed into 'line in' or not.

Using oggenc
Hello all,
I wanted to ask some experienced users some settings about oggenc.
1. How can I setup oggenc so that I can DIRECTLY rip tracks off my audio cd?
As we all know, audio cd doens't really have a file format that we can
directly use. Do I HAVE to convert them to wav files then convert them to
ogg files?
2. The options: -b -m -M with the bitrate of the audio file. If I set

Multiple Mountpoints Problem
Hello,
I've searched far and wide on the net and the only thing I've come up
with is that no one has ever had this problem.
I'm running Icecast 1.3.12 and the latest liveice on a Slackware 8.1
box. The idea here is that I need to stream a live source in multiple
bitrates. I am having a problem that is just about going to send me
back to Shoutcast.
I have set up two
