factors
Hi, I'm requesting you don't berate me for asking this question: I clearly don't have the gist of factors. I have two dataframes, A and B. Each of them has a column containing strings (they're labels). I want to, one-by-one in a loop, compare the particular string in an entry from dataframe A to an entry in B, to see if they're the same. The problem, when posing the

Update RKWard to> = 0.7.0
Hello: I just upgraded my Debian Stretch to version 3.5 by following the instructions here: https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/stretch-cran34/ Then I have updated as root the R from inside with: update.packages(.libPaths()[1], ask = F, checkBuilt=TRUE, dependencies = F, repos = "http://mirror.ibcp.fr/pub/CRAN/") When finalizing the update of the R, I execute RKWard and I get

rkward_0.6.5-1~stretchcran.0_amd64.deb missing
Hi: I have tried to upgrade from version 3.4.0 to 3.4.1 in a Debian Stretch following the instructions of the web page: https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/ but after updating, Rkward does not work (Error in RK: Graphics API version mismatch). Analyzing the problem, I notice that the Rkward package is not available in the amd64 version (yes in the i386 version), for example here:

Puppet Documentation
I''ve been watching the thread where Luke is having to spend time defending his position about documentation. Can we get off that? From my perspective, Luke, I''m glad you have documented as much as you have. I''m one of the few who have been a little stymied by what documentation is available, but in no way do I believe berating you for your lack of documentation is a

Samba 3.0 + LDAP userPassword -> sambaNTPassword manual sync?
First, the software: Samba 3.0.0 OpenLDAP 2.0.27 nssldap / pam_ldap Redhat 9 This may be more of a question for the OpenLDAP mailing list.. but does anyone know of a method (perhaps using slappasswd?) to hand-sync userPassword attributes to sambaNTPassword attributes? Deploying Samba 3.0 as pdc pretty soon, used Migration Tools on the mail server soon, and I'd really like to be able to tell

r-api-3 with R 3.5.2. on Stretch: is there a workaround?
Now that I am at least mapping the right repository to my Debian version (doh!) I have another question. In the installation page at https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/#debian-stretch-stable there is the line: "Please note that R packages from the Debian stretch distribution are not compatible with R 3.5.x, as it provides r-api-3.5, while the stretch packages depend on

Unexpected config results with local_name + multiple SSL certs
Working with SSL on fresh install of latest Ubuntu Artful + Dovecot seems broken somehow. Application is Dovecot listening for many SSL sites... Likely I've missed adding something simple to the config, related to local_name usage. Be great if someone can point out what I've missed, to setup multiple SSL certs for different host.domain entries in config. Thanks. _______ This works as

Also, is there any reason to use local_name if

KGO AM 810 Question / Distributed Home Media
At work yesterday (Fri Oct 16) I heard someone call into KGO Radio, 810 AM, San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose to the "tech guru" guest. "I have a bunch of files in Ogg and FLAC format that I want to distribute around the house," said the caller, "How can I do that?" I immediately thought of VideoLAN, and even Icecast2; but to wired/wirelessly ship media around from one

I hope to be able to upload a clean backport of R 3.4.1 during the rest of the week or at the weekend. Kind regards, Johannes -- Johannes Ranke Wissenschaftlicher Berater https://jrwb.de/contact

kudos
I'm sure this isn't said enough, so kudos to Timo for what has to be the best IMAP server anywhere, hands-down no qualifications! And to think, it's a one man operation ... although perhaps that is one of the reasons it is so good.
