Dell vostro 1550, BCM 4313 wireless, not connecting to net
Hello All,
?I have a Dell Vostro 1550 laptop. i3 core, 64 bit, 8gb ram etc etc. I had a nic interface, but some how the wired nic is not working. So I am trying to use the BCM 4313 wireless chip, of this system, to connect to the internet.
?I have Cent os 6.5 (64 bit) installed with the required libraries and kernel sources, headers etc.
I got the source code of the driver, hybrid-v35_64-nodebug-pcoem-6_30_223_141.tar.gz. Extracted the tar, and compiled.

help/input/comments before signing the PRI contracts will be greatly
appreciated.

I would like to link the Nortel BCM to * using the a digital trunk card.
The BCM will continue to service the Tampa location, the * box would
simply be used to pass extensions over the PRI to another * server in

Nortel BCM - Call Accounting Interface?
Dear List,
Need to know if anyone on this list has had any experience with using
the Nortel BCM 50 for Call Account Reporting using an IP connection to a
Linux / Asterisk interface? Presently, I have a BCM 50 installed that uses a
local Lenova Small Form Factor PC with a windows XP / os that quit reporting
because of a up-grade to the Nortel reporting software. Nortel support is
now telling m...

Nortel BCM and Asterisk as SIP Extension
Greetings!
Has anyone - or is it even possible to - set up Asterisk with multiple
SIP Clients to a Nortel BCM switch? The intent is to set up an Asterisk
IVR behind the BCM, have the BCM route calls to Asterisk IVR and then
transfer calls to one of two queues in the BCM based on ANI and some
database information. The wiki (and Google) only mentions PRI,
Line-side T1 or H.323 interfaces to the BCM and loo...

Asterisk + PRI Card -> Nortel BCM
Has anyone fed a Nortel BCM from Asterisk?
I'm interested in switching our company over, but don't want to
replace all the handsets in one fell swoop.
I imagine some of the PRI cards can "emulate" a switch?
I'd still like to pass CallerID into the Nortel, etc but all the
external traffic would be VOIP...

[FOLLOWUP]: Calls not tearing down properly
As a follow-up, I have traced the PRI connection and discovered that calls
hung up by a local BCM voice station (analog, digital, whatever) send a
disconnect with a clear cause of 1 (Number not assigned) instead of a normal
clear cause of 16. Calls forwarded through the BCM disconnect with the
normal clear cause.
I have kludged up a fix to change all clear causes below 2 to 16 (I placed

Cisco SPA3102 Thoughts & Other Recommendations
...100+ service vehicles that have
WiFi hot spots installed (with cellular uplinks). Currently we are
trying out Skype wireless handselts and Majick Jack. I'd also like to
consider an Open Source solution that can bring the calls back to our
data center [possibly integrated without our existing BCM 3.x VoIP
PBX].
For hardware someone on the IRC channel suggested the Cisco SPA3102 and
a cordless phone? This devices appears to be able to register to an
Asterisk server (there are many related forum and BLOG posts). Does
anyone have an opinion for or against this device? Alternatives. It i...

Nortel i2004 firmware upgrade.
...nortel
i2004 ip phone. I have this phone leftover from a trial, and it's
supposed to be upgradable to current firmwares. Since I also run a DMS I
was able to login to nortel's site and get all the firmware files, but All
the NTP's regarding firmware upgrading these are how to tell you BCM to
send the file to it. I'm trying to use this with asterisk, and was
wondering if any of you reading would have information like that.

Problems with gpxelinux and Broadcom 57711
Hello.
We are using gpxelinux from SYSLINUX 4.02. We recently purchased some HP
Proliant BL460c G6 servers with Broadcom BCM 57711 10Gbit NICS.
We have a very simple pxelinux.gpxe script compiled into gpxelinux.0:
#!gpxe
set use-cached 1
dhcp net0
chain http://webserver/gpxe/gpxe.php?IP=${net0/ip}
The PHP script dynamically creates a config file that looks something
like this:
#!gpxe
set 209:string pxelinux.cfg/defau...

ZyXEL Prestige 2000W SIP hangup fails
Does anybody have any experience with the ZyXEL Prestige 2000W? I am
having problems with the line tear down when I call another extension.
If nobody picks up at the other end when I hangup the 2000W, the other
extension continues to ring. Is there any way to hangup a SIP call if
there is no more traffic? Asterisk seems to think that there is still a
connection open. This is pretty annoying

Nortel i2004 IP Phones
Hello,
is it possible to connect a Nortel i2004, (i2002) IP Phone to an *
PBX?
I have seen on the net that there should be an SIP firmware aviable for
the phone, anyone an idea where to get it? Because orginally they use a
own protocol
to connect to an Meridian, BCM or CSE1K.
Another idea is to write a module for * that can handle this protocol.

Configure a FreeBSD firewall to pass IPSec?
Greg White,.
I have noted your comment on some documentation found on the web, "I have
successfully (and repeatedly) used Nortel VPN client on a NATed host through a
FreeBSD gateway."
Currently i have the same problem with a Nortel BCM Running M$ Windows VPN, the
BCM sit's behind a FreeBSD Firewall / NATD.

Principle components analysis on a large dataset
Dear Sirs:
Please pardon me I am very new to R. I have been using MATLAB.
I was wondering if R would allow me to do principal components analysis on a
very large
dataset.
Specifically, our dataset has 68800 variables and around 6000 observations.
Matlab gives "out of memory" errors. I have tried also doing princomp in
pieces, but this does not seem to quite work for our approach.

Very slow download with pxelinux > 4.07 on specific hardware
...ything went ok on my first client test machine : dell optiplex 740.
Pxe was really fast (vesamenu with large background image was appearing
in less than 3 secondes)
But on different client machine i got different results :
On optiplex 790 (core i5 with intel 82579 nic) and 380 (core 2 duo with
bcm 57xx), it takes 1 minute for the menu to appear.
On optiplex 7010(core i5 92579lm), it is as fast as with optiplex 740.
At the beginning i thought it was because my newer machine were on an
efi bios, but the 7010 is too and i have no problem(i always use legacy
boot).
With pxelinux 4.0.7, eve...

Centos7- WiFi not recognized - HWaddress - Or Any Idea
Hello,
I recently installed centos7+Gnome on my macbook air , at first start the wireless adaptor , which is the (infamous?) BCMA4360 , seemed to work because I was asked to choose the network and provided password, but thereafter wifi did not appear, so I can connect to the Internet only by cable. Googling a few days and checking on my computer I found the following:- the infamous wifi adapter BCM4360 appears on lshw list-...
