[LLVMdev] LLVM 3.7 release plan and call for testers
Hello everyone, Please let me know if you'd like to help providing binaries and testing for your favourite platform. If you were a tester on the previous release, I've bcc'd you on this email. I propose this schedule for the 3.7 release: - 14 July 2015: Create the release branch. - 14 July -- 21 July: Testing Phase I. RC1 binaries are built and tested. - 22 July -- 29 July: Fix bugs from Testing Phase I. All new features for the release should be complete. In...

delivery to incorrect user
Yesterday a user reported to me that she received a bunch of emails that were not addressed to her. I'm using dovecot version 0.99.11 along with postfix and amavisd-new. I don't know how this happened because each mail file in /var/mail/ is only readable by the user. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before?

[LLVMdev] Phabricator and private reviews
...that happens. Anyone know where those are coming from? Maybe it's people using Herald to subscribe to changes in particular parts of the codebase - so when someone starts a code review all the Herald subscribers end up cc'd on the initial mail? I wonder if the Herald subscribers should be bcc'd or handled in some other way? If that's what's happening, and it's the right way to do it, I'm not sure what the right limit is - as more people use Herald we could get larger and larger CC lists. What's the mailing list limit for? What're the tradeoffs of setting it...

rgl update: please test!
(This is bcc'd to a list of people who have had problems with rgl lately or who are known to be big users; not cc'd, so you don't all get cc'd all the responses on the R-devel list). I've just put together a test build of rgl, and put it on my web site as http://www.stats.uwo.ca/faculty/...

Dovecot-auth relicensing to BSD/MIT
Bcc'd to everyone who have sent me patches to dovecot-auth or related code. Once in a while people ask me if Dovecot's authentication server code could be relicensed to BSD so they could use it for their project. Usually they have been other BSD-licensed open source projects which just prefer...

[3.7 Release] Let's fix the release notes!
...to the 3.7 branch. If you don't want to do that, just email me some text, and I'll happily land it for you. If you're uncertain whether your work is in the release or not, 3.7 covers commits r225992-r242221. Other updates to the docs are also very welcome. Thanks, Hans (You're bcc'd on this email if you're mentioned in this list.) Lang: can you write something about the new ORC JIT interface? Reid: how far did SEH support get in 3.7? Is this something we should mention? I'll add something about the switch lowering changes. Chandler: can you write something ab...

LiblineaR: accept sparse matrices
Thibault, It would be nice if LiblineaR() accepted data in the form of a sparse matrix (it does not accept whatever e1071::read.matrix.csr returns). It would also be nice if there were functions to read/write files in the native liblinear file format; I am sure the original liblinear library provides at least the input code. problem submitting R bug; bug plotting in tiling window manager
...ot the same one you used in this email. At least one of the people who can deal with this kind of thing would now demand an apology from you before ever reading your email again. I won't do that, but I have to admit, I don't like the fact that you wasted 10 minutes of my time. I'm Bcc'ing a couple of people who are working on putting together a better interface to the bug reporting system, so they know to deal with this kind of issue as well as all the others. I'm not hostile, I just sound that way, because I've wasted a lot of time this week on issues like this...

data retention and e-discovery rules
Hello All, I am in the United States where we have e-discovery rules. Some organizations have to retain data for a certain amount of time, others are required to have a data retention policy. This means that while it should probably be possible for a user to "delete" an email so they do not see it. The server needs to store it, possibly in a tree that mirrors the folder setup of
