Best way to implement?
So I''m new to all this Rails stuff and this is probably a database design-related question to, but here it is... Just for learning I''m trying to build a little real estate listings application. Of course there is the listings model which will store basic information like name, price, description, and all that jazz. I''m to the point where I want to figure out how to

Dear Ivan, REgrets to reply this late... By "holding a lock", you mean a bug in the process right (I am not a computer science guy, excuse my naivete)? agents and music on hold with autoanswer..
My colleague left our company, then I have to manage all our phones lines and asterisk: please, apologize me because I'm 'absolute beginner' about voip/asterisk!! Well... all seems work fine; we have some queues and some agents; the "music on hold" works fine when the agent press the hold button on the phone (thomson); the agents have the 'autoanwser' flag

Queues and Agent penalty - how to go to second best agent when the first does not answer
Hi, I've been playing with agent penalties (Asterisk 1.6.2.16). I've set up multiple agents, and as documented agents with the lowest penalty value get called first. The issue I have is that if the agent with the very lowest penalty does not answer, instead of going with to the second best agent the queue rings the same agent over and over and over again. I've realized that

Problem with Dutch PSTN-line on X100P
Yo all, I have a problem with a Dutch (KPN) PSTN-line, connected to an X100P. The call wil sound OK at first, but after 10-20 minutes, the audio will start to crackle. Soon after that, this crackle turns into a continuous noise and the parties won't be able to hear eachother anymore. It also sometimes happens that the party on the TDM400P hears a very loud, short-delay echo of themselves,

How to get a server listed in the IMAP Test wiki?
Something I can't quite place finger on here. Altogether too much Mafia, in the bulk email business generally, and I know Switzerland borders on Italy ... This sounds, (albeit vaguely,) altogether too much like the thieves I seem to have fallen amongst lately. Two stolen trucks, three stolen laptops, another one wrecked, three or four stolen cell phones, passwords GPG keys, city hall hookers

dovecot user
Any thoughts on this: The primary use for "dovecot" user has been for login processes. But people keep misunderstanding this and try to use dovecot for accessing mails. For years I've been wondering about renaming this user to something else like dovelogin, but it never really seemed practical. So now with v2.0 there are a bunch of new processes, and for example anvil and dict are

Reloading dovecot after certificate renewal?
Is it enough to issue a `service restart dovecot` when a certificate renews or do I need to service stop/start? -- "A thousand years ago we thought the world was a bowl. Five hundred years ago we knew it was a globe. Today we know it is flat and round carried through space on the back of a turtle. Don't you wonder what shape it will turn out to be tomorrow?"
