I am connecting my TE110P with a Balun converter where the two BNC
connectors are from connected to a Fibre optic line.
When I reboot my pc , I got my TE110P LED flashing RED slowly. But
nothing happen when I hooked up to Balun Convertor. Balun convertor is
75ohm on BNC and 120ohm on RJ45.
I am using straight through cable to conne...

TE405P E1 coax cables with balun
Hi,
I am new with asterisk. I am setting a Wildcard TE405P. E1s in Italy come in
on a pair of RG-59 coax cables with BNC connectors. So I need an
adapter/balun http://www.allcomtlc.com/al_g703n3.htm . I have It but I am
not sure that It works. I have configured my asterisk in this way:
zaptel.conf

dchan=16
bchan=1-15,17-31
loadzone=it
defaultzone=it

TE405P and E1
Hello
Im from Denmark and i've just got my Digium TE405P. But i have some
problems when i connect it to my E1 connection (ISDN30).
My telco delivered a alcatel box witch have a G.703 120ohm (DB9 with a
serial to rj45) and a 75ohm coax connection.
I've tried to connect using the 120ohm with rj45 and a ordinary utp cable.
But it dosent seem to work. I've tried several zaptel.conf

sangoma 102 and CAB-E1-RJ45BNC
...<-->bp250 using asterisk to power up the voip portion
the problem is the we are getting crackling sound when we make calls from
the old pabx extension, it seems that there is a lot of line noise due to
emc.
so here goes the newbie question:
current setup is that from the coax we are using a balun using the given
cables from sangoma
will the cisco *CAB-E1-RJ45BNC *connector work on the 102 ie no need to use
the balun

outcall notification
Has anyone implemented an outcall notification when there is a voice
message waiting? I would like to have the system notify me of awaiting
voice messages by a telephone call rather than an email notification. I
would imagine that a call could be dumped into the asterisk spool
directory, but I'm not sure how I would monitor for messages waiting.
Has anyone implemented such a feature for

The first three spans are configured (and connected to modens) but
I am getting RED in zttool (end on the board leds) the fourth are not

My suspicion is the cable RJ45 which did not (else one did), The

First question, as I am sure that the cables are correctly (RJ45)

A cable network standard micro / switch work?

Crc4 issues
Hi All,
This is our 2nd E1 client that we try to use crc4 either with the e100p
or with the e405p without luck.
After some trials, we ask the telco to switch off crc4 on their side and
everything works flawlessly.
Is there anything in the crc4 calculation that may be broken? We took a
look at wct1xxx.c and wct4xx.c but there doesn't seem to be much there
to be fixed (apparently the crc4

Minimum budget question ...
I've tried to figure out from the web site the minimum hardware cost to run a
small office Asterix solution but I'm afraid I miss something:
Let's say that I want to connect four/five analogic extension to the PBX.
I have:
- 1 computer as the server (with linux and Asterisk on it)
- 1 dummy patch panel to connect all the analogic phones around the office
What (and how many) cards

libpri and NT-Point to multi-point
Hi,
At the moment, libpri /w Asterisk 1.6, Dahdi 2.1, is not supporting NT-Point
to multi-point mode.
Here (France), most small PBXes are connected to ISDN through BRI trunks in
PtmP (don't know why but it seems the general case).
So this NT-PtmP function would be very helpful to easily slide an Asterisk
box between an existing PBX and the network.
Does the same case apply elsewhere (UK,

I all changed the hardware for another server and changed to all the

hardware in the TE110P?
Best Regards

Doorphone vs. Grandstream BT101
I've done all the googling I can on this, and have come to the
conclusion that a Grandstream BT101 can be abused to be a door phone.
Could someone with access to one, confirm that the following is possible?
Researched:
1. When set to auto-answer, dialing the phone will result in a short
beep and instant speaker-phone connection.
2. When pressing the "message" button while
