Nested For loops

Once again Debian has no updates. Is there any reason for this to happen? Jim -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/attachments/20080430/c39ba1e4/attachment.htm

Status of Windows Search Protocol support in Samba?
...is a non-trivial effort. Oddly enough, perhaps, I'd have thought that one of the hardest parts would be interfacing with a host's index/search tool and figuring out how to degrade sensibly if there is no compatible tool. On Linux operating systems (and perhaps BSD too, not sure), Tracker, Baloo, Nepomuk (on old installations), Beagle (on yet older installations), or Recoll might need to be interface targets. Presumably Spotlight on Mac allows querying by API but I know nothing of it. And Windows Search on Windows does allow querying by multiple APIs but, in practice, would be the lowest p...

Status of Windows Search Protocol support in Samba?
...Additionally there > is a simple WSP samba search client that allows simple queries to > constructed to be targeted at any WSP server. Good idea, I think, about focussing on likely core searches from the Windows search UI (at least to begin with). I think that Elasticsearch vs. Tracker (or Baloo, or Recoll, or others) is largely a use case suitability issue. If one is querying a file server or a NAS then Elasticsearch is probably an ideal server-side indexing solution. On the other hand, if one is querying a desktop box (which is still a valid use case for WSP) then it would make more sens...

Bug 13517: Forums breaking mailing list
...s Wine going to have to lose even more experienced users over a stupid bug? Does WineHQ really value new users over those who have the knowledge and are willing to help? Wine trying to run everything from \\windows\\system32
Okay, I'm a complete newb... but I don't think this is the way things should be happening. I've installed Wine 1.0 (and uninstalled and tried 0.96... same problem) on Ubuntu 8.04 and I'm trying to install Dreamweaver 8. By all accounts, this should be a simple double-click on the exe, but nothing happens. Running the install from terminal results in: Code: wine: could not load

how to share wine programs between users?
Hi, I installed Office 2007 under my account, but mostly it is my wife that needs to use it. I hadn't realized that installs apply only to the particular user account. Isn't there a way to install software such that wine can use it for any user on the system? I tried moving my .wine directory to /home/.wine and then symlinking ~/.wine, but that only works for me... if I try it under my

does WINE run on MAC OS and OpenVMS
Hi all, I have two queries regarding WINE. 1) Is there support for VMS(OpenVMS) and MAC OS in WINE. I mean that can I install/build WINE over OpenVMS OS and MAC OS. 2) I have heard that WINE doesnot have support for WIN64 bit API's. Is this true that I cannot port WIN64 applications via WINE on Linux 64 bit. If this is possible for anyone among you then plz list the name of all the OS where
