Problem installing B410P BRI card for asterisk
Dear all, I know this is more a Digium hardware than an Asterisk issue. Already posted a question at Digium, however also like to see whether anyone in the Asterisk community has encountered the following situation: I installed a Digium B410P BRI PCI card on my new asterisk server, following the steps specified in the manual. I can see the PCI card is available using the lspci command: ... 04:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection [8086:10d3] 05:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Intel Corpo...

dahdi_scan doesn't recognize an OpenVox A400E
Hi everybody, In an Asterisk 1.6.0.5, dahdi-linux-2.1.0.4, dahdi-tools-2.1.0.2, with a Digium B410P and an OpenVox A400E, I can't make "dahdi_scan" to recognize the OpenVox. This card was working correctly but suddenly stopped working and I cannot make it work again. Both ?lspci? and ?dahdi_hardware? detect it but ?dahdi_scan? not and I cannot use it. >lsppci: *0a:00.0 Netwo...

Problems with pstn cards
Hi everybody, I have a 1.6.0.5 asterisk system and I?m having many problems with my pstn cards. This system has a Digium B410P with 4 BRIs configured, and an OpenVox A400E. The issue is that it?s impossible to make the system recognize the A400E, despite the ?lspci? output is: 0a:00.0 Network controller: Tiger Jet Network Inc. Tiger3XX Modem/ISDN interface 11:00.0 ISDN controller: Digium, Inc. Wildcard B410 quad-BRI...

CAS signalling conflicts with Clear channel
Hi, My asterisk server was working with a 4-FXO analog card (TDM400P). I recently added two digital cards: a TE120P (1 PRI) and a B410P (4 BRI). The B410P is still unconfigured but inserted in a PCI slot. The TE120P's jumper is set to E1 as it will connect to a commercial PBX's PRI card also configured as E1. My analog channels used to be 1-4 but since I added the new cards I changed them to 101-104. As I try to initia...

Dahdi caused Kernel to segfault
Yesterday, a low-duty production server that I maintain core-dumped. At the time there were only around 2 calls going through it. The strace on the screen made it look like it was caused by Dahdi. The machine is running asterisk-1.6.0.3 dahdi-linux-2.1.0.3 dahdi-tools-2.1.0.2 asterisk-addons-1.6.0 Kernel version 2.6.28 There is a genuine TDM400P (populated witrh 2xFXO cards and 2xFXS cards.

North American voice BRI - Informal survey
Hi, folks: I remain intrigued by the gap in BRI implementation between North America and Europe, and I wanted to get feedback from the list members on the matter. I'm seriously considering making the leap in our office. In Europe, the idea that an office that does not have enough lines to justify PRI would use analog lines is perceived as technologically backwards, and yet that's what

Gluster very poor performance when copying small files (1x (2+1) = 3, SSD)
Hi, As I posted in my previous emails - glusterfs can never match NFS (especially async one) performance of small files/latency. That's given by the design. Nothing you can do about it. asterisk SIP MESSAGE method support
Hello List, I have found that asterisk supports only forwards in-dialog MESSAGE method. That is, if the MESSAGE method is sent within an active call. But according our requirement we need to send MESSAGE method to the other leg without being in a call (general stateless proxy forward). Is it possible to do this in asterisk using some tricks?
