Maximum likelihood estimate of bivariate vonmises-weibulldistribution
Thanks Dimitris!!! That's much clearer now. Still have a lot of work to
do this weekend to understand every bit but your code will prove very
useful.
Cheers,
Aziz

Hosting application on private network.
Hi,
I have a Ruby on Rails application. I am able to run it in my local
system using Apache2 server. I would like to host my application so that
all the systems in the private network 192.168.3.0/24 should be able to
access the web-application. My system private-ip is 192.168.3.57.
Please help me what all configurations do I need to do.
Thank you
Ajit

Maximum likelihood estimate of bivariate vonmises-weibull distribution
Hi,
I'm dealing with wind data and I'd like to model their distribution in
order to simulate data to fill-in missing values. Wind direction are
typically following a vonmises distribution and wind speeds follow a
weibull distribution. I'd like to build a joint distribution of
directions and speeds as a VonMises-Weibull bivariate distribution.
First is this a stupid question? I'm

[as.POSIXlt]: Incorrect conversion only for some specific date/time (PR#8654)
Full_Name: Aziz Chaouch
Version: 2.2.1
OS: XP/2000
Submission from: (NULL) (132.156.89.240)
Hi,
I'm not sure this is a "bug" but here is the problem:
I'm using the function as.POSIXlt to convert character strings into time
objects. I'm using date format as "YYYY/M/D HH:MM" such as as.POSIXlt("1999/6/7
13:30"). Most of the time, this works fine. However

Nash equilibrium and other game theory tools implemented in networks using igraph or similar
Does anyone know of some code, and examples that implement game theory/Nash
equilibrium hypothesis testing using existing packages like igraph/statnet
or similar?
Perhaps along the lines of this article:

Computing a reliability index of a statistic with missing data
Hi All,
I'd like to compute a kind of reliability index (RI) that would in a
sense stand as a measure of reliability of a statistic (histogram etc)
computed on a time serie with missing values. The final goal is that:
RI=1 for a perfect reliability
RI=0 for a total unreliability (no data at all as an extreme case...)
The percentage of missing data is one indication: the more missing data,

Need Immediate Help:::SAMBA Logon Issues
Hi there
Plz go through the following info. Everything is working pretty fine but
very frequently, I get the following error:
"THERE ARE NO LOGON SERVERS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE TO SERVICE YOUR REQUEST"
where these configurations work fine occasionally.

Do you have more than one domain controller?
Is this just after rebooting a PC?

Asking for password
Hi,
I'm a new user of Dovecot.
I have installed it in a server in combination of Postfix.
I have created a system user and given him a password, this is a final user.
when I try to add the account in my mail client (outlook), I get the window
of authentication asking for password, even if I enter the correct password,
this window does not disappear.
below my configuration.

(PR#8654) failure to read the help carefully!
You seem unaware of Summer Time. When a timezone moves on to Summer Time,
there is no 2am, so you most likely specified a non-existent time.
You have not told us where you are, and we cannot tell from your junk-mail
address (nor does the IP address resolve here, but an IP-to-geo service
claims it is in Ottawa). But I suspect you will find the days you mention
are the beginning of Summer

Why don't you implement and uplad the package to CRAN?

Call waiting for Queue Agents.
Hi All,
I have a question about the Queues.
I'm using Asterisk 11.13.0 , and I want to configure the following setup :
When there is an incoming call to the queue all agents should ring even
those that are already in call, they should receive a second call.
Is this doable in any Asterisk version ?
Thanks in advance.

I responded to the unhelpful suggestion "Why don't you implement and uplad the package to CRAN?" No mention of a search engine. Is this what you are commenting on Jeff?

Hello Chris,
I was implying you are capable enough to implement it, while you have
already identify a research paper. If there is no package out there,
uploading to CRAN would help future user too. I am more than happy to
help if you want to implement from scratch.
Best,
Mehmet

In what way does reminding people that packages exist because others just like them contributed something count as being uncivil? Terse, perhaps, since it bypassed the obvious suggestion to use a search engine, but not rude.

Thanks I too wondered about the tone. The first suggestion was that I
should "google it" and the second, write my own code. I think if I did I'd
be reinventing the wheel, (and it'd be a big challenge for me). Also, I
have been searching and not found such code, despite evidence that it has
been coded (just not sure if it was in R). BTW I did write to authors of

What exactly are you doing to get that error?
Have you taken a network trace?
