NUT-2.0.3 - problems on setting values
...rver is connected to outlet.0 and properly shuts down when it's
loosing power after around 20 minutes. It also boots up whenever the ups
is getting power again.
To outlet.1 there are a few components like a router, a small switch and
a phone connected.
As to our understanding of , outlet.1.autoswitch.charge.low and
outlet.1.switchable it should be possible to power off these devices at
a given battery charge, right?
However, using upsrw or upsset.cgi results in strange behaviour.
Setting (ups|outlet.x).delay.(shutdown|start) to e.g. 120 returns some
random value (102, 68, etc.).
The value r...

Dynamic Failover
I am faced with a network that needs to autoswitch to isdn should
T-1 go down. After a shorewall search it looks to be quite a deal with
routing
config with linux. Like scripts written to deal with knowing the T-1 is
down.
I looked into a cisco router that does this. around $3000
This network has used shorewall as the gateway for 4 years now....

Leadtek BVA8051 / Sipphone.com CallInOne with Asterisk?
....
Asterisk versions from 0.7.2 to 1.0.3.
Results have been consistently flaky, I've tried flash upgrading, makes no
difference. Have tried all sorts of config tweaks on the phone as to buffer
size, etc.
Google has almost NO info on these things, they have one nice feature which is
easy autoswitching between POTS and SIP calls in both directions.
Any experience or hearsay out there in Asterisk land?

MGE Evolution and programmable outlets configuration
...m not that sure about nut configuration.
First of all I think I have to use upssched for shutting down the
computers, both connected to the programmable outlets, haven't I? But
how does the driver communicate to the computers that outlet.X is
cutting the power since is reaching the
outlet.X.autoswitch.charge.low/outlet.X.delay.shutdown condition? Does
it cut the power without any notice? And how the computers get aware
from witch outlet they are drawing power? Without these information it
sounds that programmable outlets are almost unuseful and just marketing.
I mean, if I have to set up a c...

Joining forces with the Network UPS Tools
Hi Powermen ;-)
I recently came across the Powerman project
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/powerman/), pointed by Tony Merenda,
from Opengear (thanks Tony). Congrats for your work in this area!
I've thought a bit about Powerman and NUT since then...
NUT currently supports hosts of UPSs and few PDUs (RPCs), and provides
tons of features:
