Australian Options
I would just like to get a refresh of the situation for Australian users.
It would seem that the TE400P is currently available and is likely to
acheive approval for use in Australia within the next 2 months ? (when is
the end of summer?).
Once this is done, it will certainly suit larger installations, but it still
leaves a number of 'gaps'.

Credit card processing through Australian gateways (eway etc)
Hi there
Has anyone out there embarked on credit card processing in a Rails app
through Australian gateways such as eway?
I''m aware of Payment and ActiveMerchant, but neither support
Australian gateways.
It''s a little beyond me right now to hack these to work with eway.
Any clues would be appreciated here.

Drawing Maps of detailed Australian regions
Hi all,
I'm trying to draw a bubble plot over a map -- where the map shows local government areas (LGA) in Australia (or other structures under the Australian Standard Geographical Classification), but am not sure where I can find the data to plot such maps (e.g. draw the state of Northern Territory but also showing LGA divisions).
Any help will be greatly appreciated, apologies if this is

fImport data from Australian stock exchange
Dear all,
I have been importing data into R from yahoo using yahooSeries, however the
older version I was using no longer works with the syntax I have developed.
I downloaded the latest package and it downloads data from the U.S. just
fine, but the ticker codes for the Australian stock exchange (asx) do not
get downloaded.
a simple example, this works (US stock):

Mr. Chen told Media that CCP has "thousands" of secret agents in Australia
...edia that the CCP has "thousands" of secret agents in Australia who monitor
and report on political dissidents and Falun Gong practitioners, and try to interfere with their
activities in Australia. He said this is normal policy for the Chinese Government. Mr. Chen
promised to reveal to Australians "everything I know" about threats by Chinese agents to the
Australian society and its people". According to Mr. Chen, he had details of several kidnappings
of Chinese defectors or dissidents from Australia, and said that two of them had been sentenced
to death in China. Mr. Chen s...

Multi-Tenant Parking
Has anyone managed to get multi-parking lot call parking working correctly? I've had several attempts at it, and never seem to be able to get it to go properly - (actually, at all):
I've most recently done this with 1.6.1.x, and now 1.6.2.x, with no luck in either case. What I've been "trying" is the following:

Administrivia: Australian co-lo space wanted
Hi,
I would like to find a home for a public anoncvs, cvsweb and
snapshot repository for Portable OpenSSH in a decent datacenter. Can
anyone recommend (off-list) good and affordable co-lo facilities in
Australia, preferably Melbourne?
The facilities needed are a couple of RU and Internet connectivity. IPv6
access is a strong plus, as is access to multiple carriers.

Voicetronix Openline 4 + asterisk
Any one has documented how-tos for making voicetronix openline 4 to work
with Asterisk.
I have been contacting Australian Digium resellers and Digium cards are
not approved in Australia. So I suppose Australian users are interested
into putting Voicetronix in use.
Any expereience to share will be most appreciated.

Hi folks,

telstra to turn of the STD pips on outbound calls.
We don't the effect yet on inbound (but we haven't had problems in the
past) as most of our lines with x100p's are
generally only used for outboung.

Australian Caller ID with Sipura SPA-3000
Hi All,
I am using a Sipura SPA-3000 as an FXO gateway to bring calls in and
out of Asterisk. I am using "PSTN Ring Thru Line 1" (on the "PSTN
Line" tab) so Asterisk answers the call rather than the SPA-3000. It
is all working perfectly except I can't get the SPA-3000 to pass
caller ID to Asterisk. It passes "Display Name", "User ID" and any

Australian E1 from Optus still not working
I still can't get this thing to work. Outgoing calls are fine, incoming just hangup straight away. I get a lot of & characters in my logs, I'm wondering whether they're caused by some sort of bad data ?
