My card channels for Playback are IEC958, IEC958 C, IEC958 F, IEC958 R, Analog C, Analog F, Analog R and Analog S. What am I missing? Thanks.

Ssoundblaster audigy and alsamixer
I have an interesting problem. I have no sound through the sound card, but I can use the onboard sound ok. The reason I have no sound is that the slider for "audigy analog/digital output jack" is missing in the gnome mixer. The label is there, and a mute box are there, but no sliders. When I bring up alsa mixer in the console, there is a box for a slider, but no slider.

Wine 1.1.7: Sound regression?
I have recently formatted my system in order to install Intrepid Ibex, and I am now using it with Wine 1.1.7. I did a backup of the prefixes of the games I was using in Hardy / Wine up to 1.1.5, and imported them in my new installment. The games work normally, but the sound is crackling all the time for each of them; something which was not happening in my former installment. I have not noticed

darkice slow stream
Hi, I am trying to set up a stream from my computer. I have set up Icecast, and it seems to be working. My OS is Redhat Enterprise Linux 3 and my soundcard is a SB Audigy SE working with Alsa. I have set up darkice as source client, and it seems to be working I get a really slow input stream from darkice. I think the stream must have double speed for a correct playback. This is the

USB Headset - No Master Control
Hi guys, I have an onboard Audigy2 ZS that is connected to a set of speakers. I use this generally to listen to music/movies etc. I also have a generic USB Headset that I use, generally for skype/teamspeak. It is detected as /dev/dsp1 and works fine in all my Linux applications. Code: 0 [Audigy2 ]: Audigy2 - SB Audigy 2 ZS [SB0350] SB Audigy 2 ZS [SB0350] (rev.4,

CENTOS 4.2 crashes when ipod plugged in
A friend sent me an ipod to office to transfer music to it. It had a firewire cable and I have an Audigy soundcard with a firewire port. But when I connected the ipod to the firewire port, I got a lot of weird numbers and interrupt errors and the system crashed badly. Is there some problem with firewire support in the kernel? -- Roger D. Vargas http://dsgp.blogspot.com | Linux, programaci?n,

Windows MSI file installation
After a recent reload with Kubuntu Hardy 8.04, my son and I are having some success with wine and M$ games/programs, mostly by bloodymindedness and the occasional foulup - losing sound intermittently was unexpected, although this may be due to the presence of an Audigy sound card, which despite being recognised and configured, nevertheless is not currently providing sound output - the main board

Wine only sees OSS, not ALSA
I have two machines, both of which run Debian squeeze and on which I compiled Wine 1.2.3. On the older installation of Debian, which uses an Audigy 2 card, when I do $ winecfg, Audio tab, the OSS, ALSA, NAS and EsoundD drivers are seen, with the ALSA driver automatically checked. The sound test works. On the new installation of Deban, with an Audigy 1 card $ winefcg only shows OSS, and so

Downsampling
Ok, this is slightly offtopic, but relates to the quality of input for speex :) I'm working on echo cancellation by means of sampling the wave mix of the sound card as well as the microphone. I originally had two sound cards, which had some synchronization problems (now solved, more or less), but I have also discovered a much better solution using ASIO 2.0, which enables me to sample
