form_tag with protocol => ''https'' help
...I also tried to sanity check by just doing
<%= url_for :controller => ''home'',:action => ''login'',:protocol =>

Anyone see where I am going astray?

deciphering objects.log
Howdy -- I''ve been tracking down mem leaks (oh, the fun...), and I think
there is a clue in objects.log. There are a few mentions of this file, but
usually Zed saying "look at this file and it will help you". Can anyone clue
me in to what the actual columns mean?

DOS box popping up under rubyscript2exe
Hello
My email has been broken for a week and some of it seems to have gone
astray - so if there are other unanswered wxruby queries kicking about,
please repost or forward me them.
I have encountered this problem with a DOS box popping up under rubyw /
rubyscript2exe; I don''t think it''s related to wxruby. I found them
popping up when shelling out with backt...

adding zeros to dataframe
...es has 272 rows. The data are sorted by species and then abundance, so all of the zeros can presumably just be tacked on to the last (272-occupied plots) row for each species.
My programming skills are still somewhat rudimentary (and biased toward VBA-style looping...which seems to be leading me astray). Though I have searched, I have not yet seen this particular problem addressed in the help files.
Many thanks for any suggestions,
Cathy

CentOS 7 "Set Up Enterprise Login" after update and reboot
Dear Experts,
Something went astray with one of my systems. Large number of updates were
installed on it all at once at some point. Then after system was rebooted
it does strange thing I haven't seen on other systems. The machine is set
up to boot into graphic login ("runlevel 5" to say it using outdated
language). But...

Thanks! It works great for all clients* except the linux kernel (v4.9)
mount, which was what led me astray.
Any idea if this works in more recent kernels? If not where do I wish
list this. :)
Thanks,
Chad.

Ogg streams on MacOSX
...ac. :P
Mint audio plays static ogg, not streamed, last time I checked. Also,
has anyone actually gotten MacAMP or Audion 3 to actually play an ogg
stream from icecast2? I've tried all of them recently, and Whamb is
still the only one that works in my experience. Let's not lead Mac
users astray; it's frustrating enough not being able to use iTunes.

system() function
...'--vanilla'
My function contains these 3 lines:
setwd("D:/R/R.pkgs") # path to files set using package.skeleton()
commands <- shQuote("CMD INSTALL -l D:/R/JMB.LIBS jmb.test")
system(paste('"R"',commands))
Can anyone tell me where I have gone astray? I suspect the problem lies in
quoting the strings. The command (R CMD INSTALL etc.) runs OK if I run it in
a windows shell.
Thank you.

standard errors for orthogonal linear regression
...reference to how one computes standard errors for the coefficients in an orthogonal linear regression, or perhaps someone has some R code? (I would accept a derivation or formula, but as a former teacher, I know how that can rankle.) I tried to imitate what's done in the code for lm() but went astray somewhere and got nonsense.
(This type of modeling goes by several names: total least squares, errors in variables, orthogonal distance regression (ODR), depending on where you are coming from.)
I have found ODRpack, but I haven't yet plowed through the Fortran to see if what I need is there;...

Booting MSDOS disk images
...a long while now, and I
wanted to know, if there are any guide lines on getting a system to
boot a DOS boot disk over the wire, ie, via PXE booting? I know this
has been covered, and I am also googling for a site to help me out,
but I thought I would ask anyway, so that I don't get lead astray.
I have a thin client setup already up and running, and it would be
pure bliss to be able to plug in a network cable, and load all my
boot disks up.

Note that this is the same VID/PID as on this example on the Lakeview

We can include the name "Lakeview Research" in the documentation, but

"variables" attribute is actually a list of calls--surprising to me,
since I was expecting text like all.vars. It would be useful to
indicate if all.vars returns the same ordering as the variables
attribute (at least, I'm wondering it now, though this might be a sign
I've gone astray).
Thanks.

serialize array finder
Hello,
Not sure if this is even possible/practical but I''d like to serialize an
array to a string field like this and then be able to match against it.
User.find(:all, :conditions => ["interests in
(?)",current_user.interests)
Am I better of not denormalizing? How would this be done with ordinary
A/R relationships because I''m not looking for an exact match,

Whoah! My E400P system went AWOL
Hi,
I came back from a quiet weekend today and found my E400P box to have gone
astray. Asterisk is loaded from inittab, and started crashing and reloading
a couple of thousands of times, each time notifying my monitoring service :-P
I remember there would be issues on old cvs stuff since the crash at digium
so I made a clean checkout just now.
Here is what happens when I load ma...
