3Com PXE server
I posted this to the group last year, but the problem was not fixed so I
will give it another try.
I use 3Com's PXE server to deploy the Fedora Core boot disk to my clients
for an ftp install. I also have ghost boot disks, bios update disks, and a
video bios repair disk all using the 3Com PXE server. The problem is when I
try to boot a Linux kernel. With all versions of syslinux since 1.72

PXE stack on a floppy
Hi,
The link given in your http://syslinux.zytor.com/pxe.php#config page
points to the
http://www.argontechnology.ca/rbfg/index.shtml
site. This site talks only of Win2k and .Net server. There is no mention
of GNU/Linux. Is it possible to use rbfg.exe to create a pxelinux
bootable stack on a floppy. If so how ?
Rom-O-Matic has a pxe loadable ROM image. Is there a way to use this to
create a pxelinux boot...

PXE boot woes
Hello list,
I need to load windows automatically.
I have Argon Technologies CMS (Client Management Systems).
http://argontechnology.com
I have always had problems with this product because it uses the old MS DOS
NET Client 3.0 with a LAN manager stack to copy the files from a Microsoft
share.
What I need is a Linux boot floppy that will remove partition 1 and
re-create it then format as fat and then use TFTP to copy files...

pxelinux.0
I'm not sure if this belongs here or on an etherboot list. I've given up
on trying to get a single floppy syslinux with enough stuff to remote
mount a file system. I'm trying an etherboot floppy.
When I boot the system finds the dhcp server and gets the right file
name but then it gives me the message "not a valid image." A quick
search of the net didn't help much.

Interesting...
For that haven't seen it already, a company called Argon Technology have
what they call an updated version of the Microsoft RIS PXE boot floppy
available as a free download (registration required, however):

Passing TFTP server IP address via pxelinux config file
It is possible to pass the IP address of a TFTP server to pxelinux config
file.
Scenario:
I'm trying to network boot a thinstation image file
(http://thinstation.sourceforge.net) via PXE. However, I'm using a DSL
router as my DHCP server and Argon CMS (http://www.argontechnology.com/cms)
as my PXE/TFTP server. When it initrd is execute and the network adapter
is detected and TCP/IP stack is loaded, it tries to TFTP down the
thinstation.conf file from the DHCP server. I need to force the image
to get the thinstation.conf file from the PXE server.
Thanx.

Upsmon problem
Hi,
I feel that i'm having a small problem with my upsmon configuration
(maybe even simply a permissions problem) since I upgrade today to 2.0.2
I have apcsmart set up and talk to my ups no problem (upsc get answer).
I have upsd running no problem!
But when I try to start upsmon, it's unable to talk to my upsd. Having
try a few option I found that saying RUN_AS_USER=root makes my upsmon

Is it possible to use PXELinux/SYSLinux with out changing DHCP Server settings ?
Hi,
We have some 100 Servers (includes both Intel and PPC based systems). Is
there any way to easly install OS (different flavours of Linux) on these
systems ? We do not have control over the DHCP Server settings so is there
any way to do this with out touching the DHCP Server ?
We have static IPs for all the systems.

Naveen

Planning a 2.08 release
It seems that quite a bit of stuff built up very quickly after the 2.07
release:
Changes from 2.07 to 2.08-pre6:
* Add new configuration command "ontimeout" to allow timeout
to have a different action than just pressing Enter.
* Add new configuration command "onerror" to allow a custom
command to be executed in case the kernel image is
