search for: anolog

I'm looking for somehting like the standard house hold linksys/dlink router. Basically it needs to have at least 1x100mbit port, wireless G capabilitys and at least 1 x anolog voip/sip connection. I've found linksys's WRT54GP2 which appears to do what i want. Anybody use this? Does it require vontage's service? I'm looking for any recommendations. Thanks -- ~Shaun

My szenario would be: - Receiving a SIP call (containing the T.38 fax) by my provider with my asterisk box. - asterisk would forward that SIP call to the converter. - The converter would send the SIP call back to my asterisk box, but now with the fax deocoded to an ordenary anolog fax. Hi, It would be great if the IAX protocol will be able to tranfer fax data (even converted in another format) between Asterisk boxes, using low bandwidth codecs like GSM. I know that this is possible only with the G.711 now (passing faxes using the audio stream), but.... maybe in the future...some native support will permit this. Just a thought, Dan
