ext3-2.4-0.9.4-246ac5 problem...
.../ fs, I am unable to boot anymore (and of course
I didn't saved my good old kernel), so I'm unable to decode the
oops for the moment. (will do it after I get a rescue cd with the
good fsck version :-( ).
Is this a known issue already corrected ?

Partial auth patch with priv. sep.?
...ion of priv. seperation, it seems not to be a trivial task to
port the patch. I did not find anything on that topic since so I am
wondering, if anybody is working on porting it? Or are there any current
plans to bring partial auth to the main tree?

Strange problem with X11 forwarding...
...he server side.
I've got DSA and RSA keys defined for both systems but I'm
connecting using RSA keys for my identity.
I've enabled X11 forwarding on both the client and server side.
When I connect to the other side and run an X app, I get two errors
and it fails.
Example:
[mhw at alcove mhw]$ ssh canyon
Last login: Mon May 15 05:41:07 2000 from alcove.wittsend.com
[mhw at canyon mhw]$ xterm
channel 0: istate 4 != open
channel 0: ostate 64 != open
X connection to canyon:10.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).

ext3 patch for 2.4.6 (plain or ac1)
...the newly released
2.4.6 kernel (and/or the 2.4.6-ac1 variant) ?
I want to upgrade to the new kernel and wanted to know
before I run into problems if there are any known problems
and if it's better to wait for an 'official' release.
Thanks.

0.9.2 or 0.9.3 ?
...y running 0.9.1 on 2.4.6-ac2 without problems. Should
I upgrade to 0.9.2 (I suppose yes by reading the changelog :-)) ?
What about the 0.9.3-pre version ? What does the -pre mean exactly
(any incidence on the stability ? and what about the -ac version ?)

Ok, Im an idiot. Can't remount the ext3 filesystem because I deleted the /.jounral file...
Hello everyone,
Ok, I admit it - I'm an idiot. But it seemed the right thing to do at
the time.... I'm running RH 6.2 with a 2.2.19ext3 (ext3 0.0.7).
I wanted to try out the new 2.4 kernel line, so I upgraded modutils, gcc
and few other things.. Compiled the kernel (did NOT patch it to ext3)
and installed it and rebooted. Well, it didn't understand ext3 fs.. Ok...

Openssh-2.1.0p1 test release
This to announce a test release of 2.1.0p1 before making it widely
available.
This release includes many fixes to problems reported over the last
week. In particular:
- spurious error and coredumps caused by the inbuilt entropy gathering
- RSAref detection
- Compilation fixes for Solaris and others
It also contains (completely untested) support for compiling without
RSA support. This may be

let's separate "what" and "how".
I do not speak abot "how" right now, because it is rather
a second step (if any).
I do believe that reflections without interpreter or JITing
can't be any powerfull.

There is a patch against 2.4.x kernels, but I don't think you'd need
it in this case.

Using php as an administrative tools.
Hi there.
I m really impressed by the icecast tools and have been spending some
times playing with it.
Friends of mine use the server but as they are not really at ease with
telneting for administrative purpose i had a try creating some php pages
that will act as an administrative tools for icecast.
Unfortunateley i didn t found any library that may help me communicate
with the icecast server.
