mysql based adressbook with agi and web interface ?
Hi,
I'm looking for adressbook that could easily integrate into Asterisk, so it
should:
- have agi script to search for caller id name
- have fields for notes on previous contacts (for CRM spawning of FOP)
- have web interface to edit entries easily ...
Any advice, pointers ? What is your favourite address book to use with

horde sync status ?
Hello all,
I had a quick look at the horde site and noticed that
horde is being advertised as, let's say, "smartphone friendly".
Does anyone know if the newest horde version can "talk" to?
smart phones in regards to e-mails ?
In other words, can a user owning a smartphone get his/her
e-mails on it apart from the webpage ?
Thank you,
spyros
?

Re: [Serusers] softphones
...is allways ready to receive calls.
Maybe it s the best way to introduce VoIP to my company workers....
But theres a feature that s missing (or I couldnt find), there s no way to
connect this softphone with the adress book. I think this feature is very
important, because everybody has allready a big adressbook with the friends
emails, and we dont want to have this adressbook replicated (windows
adressbook and Xlite phonebook).
Thanks
Joao

advantages of a sip phone over Wildcard TDM400P solution
Hi,
after finally getting my testsystem to work well I'm planning to buy
some hardware. Now I was wondering what the advantages / disadvantages
of using a Wildcard TDM400P solution over using real sip phones like the
snoms is? The only thing I came up with is that the Snoms can use a LDAP
adressbook on the server. What about calling a sip adress like
person@server.com. Can this be done by dialing the adress on the sip
phone or do I still have to add the adress to the extentions.conf and
then dial the corresponding number on the snom? Is there a way to dail
sip adresses when using a TDM400P?

pull a call from a queue
We have a queue monitoring application running so we can see the caller
ID of callers in a queue. If we see a VIP in the queue, is there any
method to force that call to be first in line? If there's a softphone,
or queue managing application already written that does this, I'd love
to know.

SAMBA digest 2537
Hallo!
I have a small question. I wanted to improve Samba-faxing. The system shown in the HOWTO does not include the nice features a faxing-program
like Winfax offer. Chain-fax, adressbook and much more.
So I began to write a series of scripts to manipulate the incoming fax to send.
The text should have all the command on the 1st page.
My scripts split the text in two parts: 1st page and pages 2-end.
Then the 1st page is parsed for commands like the fax-numbers to send the fax to.

Problem with PRI and overlapped dialing
Hi There,
I have an asterisk an a Digium 4 Port E1 Card
On E1 Port No. 1 I have the Telekom PRI
On E1 Port No. 2 I have an Alcatel PBX that cannot be changed
So I have setup my asterisk between Alcatel and Telekom
In extension.conf i configured:
[telekom]
exten => _9149.,1,Dial,ZAP/g2/${EXTEN};
exten => _9149.,2,Hangup
This works great, all incoming calls are directly routed to alcatel

two PDC's on same machine in same subnet
...ts with roaming profiles.
Now we start migrating NT4-clients to XP-clients and as I found out
roaming userprofiles between XP and NT4 is not possible (NT4->XP
works, but not vice versa).
So I just thought about cloning all the profiles (docs and mails are
not in the profiles so only bookmarks, adressbook and backgroundpics
hasve to be maintained twice by roaming users) to get an NT4-branch
and a XP-branch and setup a second domain and run a different samba
for it that binds to a virtual interface that is in the same subnet.
(same subnet would be great cause we use dhcp and introducing a new
subnet...

'Account disabled due to email bouncing' madness
We have a mail filter ( CanIt, by Roaring Penguin, see
http://www.roaringpenguin.com ) that is doing a very good job indeed of
blocking spam and viruses.
And I certainly get a lot from this list ... so much that without the
use of CanIt, I would have already had to retire my email address, and
possibly even our entire domain, to avoid the constant march of crap.
But ... the list server keeps

Proxy Access (Manager/Secretary) Best Practices?
I've mostly got our dovecot+postfix+SOGo+openldap open source groupware replacement working the way I want it to; we're replacing GroupWise in our organization and I'm thrilled to be doing it. I'm supporting about 1,000 active staff users (and another 6,000 student accounts).
I've got e-mail and calendar sharing working, and it does what it says it will do, but it is (go
