Accepting Time Server
...erver = yes" will cause Samba to
advertise itself as a time server in the browse list through nmbd.
Regardless of this setting, clients can still set their time with the "net
time" command.

Hi everyone out there in the world,
I found a small problem with SWAT. I can easily switch off Samba with SWAT,
but I am not able to start Samba with SWAT using the status panel. Is that
correct or am I doing something wrong. I'm using Samba 2.0.0 and the

however, thank you for bringing this out, I'm setting up a file
server
that will (-not yet-) run samba, and I already made the partitions
that'll keep the shares reiserfs, without thinking about the
posibility...

I get the same messages when connecting to another box inside the firewall,
but the connection doesn't timeout. If it helps, I'm running RH7.1, xinetd,
PortSentry.
Any hints?

Is there any work in progress to make a Samba work with Vyacheslav
Zavadsky's Linux Trustees (http://trustees.sourceforge.net)? It would give
improved access control for all file systems in Linux, not just xfs and
ext2fs.
