[Bridge] Flushing MAC-tables(?)
Dear list-members! I am using OpenWRT (www.openwrt.org) on two accesspoints. Within OpenWRT, the wireless interface and the ethernet interface are bridged to one interface (br0). Those two accesspoints are standing quite far from one another. Their WLAN-cells do not cross each other, meaning I have an area in between the two accesspoints, where there is no accesspoint of...

help on ADSL shaping
Hi I have read the howto on qdisc''s a few times but I cant figure out how to use the shaping capabilities to serve my needs. In the village whera I live we have created a wireless local network consisting of 10 houses. One of these houses has an ADSL connection and services this connection to the other houses. To gain access to the network a member must have an accesspoint in client mode,

UTStarcom F1000 - WLAN connection unreliable
...versus static IP, DNS via DHCP (while IP came from DHCP) versus static DNS server, registering to a domain name versus registering to the appropriate IP address - to no avail. I had both phones turned on at times, or only one, that would not make a difference. This occurs with both phones, and on Accesspoints from Buffalo(OpenWRT), Fon (LaFonera), AVM (FritzBoxFon 7050), and T-Com (Eumex something). I did not cross-test all possible combinations - that would be a lot - but quite some. Does anyone know of those problems, and possibly have a solution? Or just a good idea? Is there a "known reliable...

[RFC] [PATCH] Mode=Switch: add per-VLAN forwarding database
Hi, I'm inter-connecting AccessPoints using a tinc mesh and have bridge-nodes to bridge this vpn into some existing backbone. The AccessPoints bridge their users into 802.1q VLANs (per WiFi-Client, there can be multiple VLANs active on each AP) in the tinc mesh, and the bridge nodes bridge some vlans into the backbone. Now there is a r...

[Bridge] Why TTL is changing when sending a ping?
The situation is this: INTERNET -- ROUTER -- ETHERNET+WIFI -- PC's The conection between INTERNET and ROUTER is done with 2 LINKs with static IP's. The conection between ROUTER and PC's is done via ETHERNET lan with many bridges and ACCESSPOINTS. The PC's are in a IP subnet, the BRIDGES in another IP subnet, the AP's in another IP subnet. The ROUTER has 1 bridge interface (2 real ethernets in the bridge) connected to the LAN. In the router exists then br0, br0:1, br0:2, br0:3 (PCs, APs, BRIDGEs IP subnets) to allow IP connection...

Wireless cannot ping gateway after 6.3 CR updates
I'm having a wireless connection issue with an HP laptop and a Zotac media server after the 6.4 package updates from CR repository. Nothing changed with wireless config as far as I can tell. Both have been working fine with previous releases of 6.x. Oddly, if a cat 5 cable is connected for a few seconds and then disconnected the wireless works fine and survives a 'service network
