Large issue - having trouble diagnosing.
...voice packets getting through in either direction). naturally this could be a number of non-asterisk related things such as a carrier fault, bad network wiring (even more possible as we are using PoE), even badly configured QoS. However things being as they are my boss has taken it upon himself to absolve himself of any possible blame for any system that he manages (everything but the asterisk box) and lumped it all on me in such a way that its basically my job if i cannot get this working. With all of this, i need to do everything i can to rule out the Asterisk box, so i can go back to him with co...

/lib/firmware/microcode.dat update on CentOS 6
...nst Spectre? EL6 as well? Presumably this is to remove RH from the loop and to stop people blaming them - i.e. this is between Intel and the customer, it's nothing to do with them. What about future microcode updates? They come out reasonably regularly (2 or 3 times a year) - are RH going to absolve themselves from all future updates because presumably the next update will also contain the Spectre fixes? So, before I re-invent the wheel, does anyone have automation scripts to do the microcode update? I don't relish the prospect of doing this manually on a couple of hundred machines. Is i...

VSftp, ssl/tls, slight issue with directory listings
...can still test normal functions force_local_logins_ssl=NO ssl_tlsv1=YES ssl_sslv2=NO ssl_sslv3=NO rsa_cert_file=/etc/pki/tls/certs/vsftpd.pem ssl_ciphers=HIGH <-- this was added as I was using filezilla and it wanted different ciphers. without this it would have a tls fatal error, adding this absolved that issue. Now I have tried playing with the settings and in all cases when it can connect it dies at directory listing. Implicit ssl wants 990, but the listen_port directive can tell it to go to 21. Again, full connect, changes folders, dies at trying to display contents of initial folder....

/lib/firmware/microcode.dat update on CentOS 6
Dear All, An update just brought on my CenOS 6 boxes updated microcode.dat files: /lib/firmware/microcode.dat Does anybody know off hand what (how critical) is that, as, if it is related to most famous these days trouble with CPU hardware, I will need to reboot relevant boxes to have new microcode loaded. But if it is not that critical, it can wait till next reboot. Thanks a lot and

Regulatory Compliance and Validation Issues
...fe cycle, and 21 CFR 11 compliance functionality. These sections deserve special attention, and I for one will need some time to fully digest all the information in these sections. I have a few specific comments/questions that I would like to present to the R help list. 1. The document in no way absolves users from the usual IQ/OQ/PQ required for any software to be used in a regulated setting. I am very glad that this point is clearly made in the document (and I believe it was made by presenters at the useR meeting as well). 2. While the document's scope is limited to base R plus recommende...

I have 4 years of data and for each year, I have initialize the value so now for fitting the model, I want to remove the initial value and get the model based on remaining data set. Could anyone can help on this? I want to get linear model based on fourth column and 13th column but need to remove the initial value for each year and each treatment ( the second column I have 1:36) . Thank you,

what actually uses xdr_mem.c?
In regards to FreeBSD-SA-03:05.xdr, does anyone know which static binaries or tools under /bin or /sbin actually use that problem code? The recent XDR fixes the xdrmem_getlong_aligned(), xdrmem_putlong_aligned(), xdrmem_getlong_unaligned(), xdrmem_putlong_unaligned(), xdrmem_getbytes(), and/or xdrmem_putbytes() functions, but it is difficult to know what uses these (going backwards manually).

fraud advice
Hi, Embarrassed as I am to write this, I am hoping for some advice. One of our very first PBX installs, now six years old, was "taken advantage of" over the past few weeks. A victim of sipvicious, I assume, that managed to guess one of the SIP passwords. 4000 calls to various middle eastern destinations have been placed, which ended up being sent over our customer's PSTN

LSI 3GB HBA SAS Errors (and other misc)
During the diagnostics of my SAN failure last week we thought we had seen a backplane failure due to high error counts with ''lsiutil''. However, even with a new backplane and ruling out failed cards (MPXIO or singular) or bad cables I''m still seeing my error count with LSIUTIL increment. I''ve got no disks attached to the array right now so I''ve also

Patenting a mathematical formula is NOT creating a machine nor is it unique. For example. 2+2=4... apples + apples^2= given outcome. I want to patent this. It's stupid to patent something like that. The same is true for formula algorithms. Algorithms occur in nature. Thus should not be patented. Now, Volley G Mathison inventor of the Electropsychometer had a machine that he could patent. A
