Selecting 3 different hours in a day
Hello, I have a csv with 5months of hourly data for 4 years. I would like to get 9am, 12pm and 3pm from each day and create a subset or a new data frame that I can analyze. The time are from hour 0-23 for each day. I am not sure how to create a loop which will take out each of these hours and create a subset. I was thinking of doing a for loop using the row number since: 9am= row...

crontab query
I need to schedule a process/program every hour on the hour between 9am and 4pm on the 2nd through the 9th of each month except on Saturday and Sunday.? So, I tried this entry: 0 9-16 2-9 * 1-5 ./myprog.sh Unfortunately it runs outside of the 2nd through the 9th and still runs on Sat. through Sun. Is there a way to do this (outside the program itself)? -Frank

Feature Request: GotoIfTimeWithOffset
Hi, When I was testing an IVR, I realized I miss a function I would call GotoIfTimeWithOffset. Today, this IVR is using function AEL GotoIfTime in several places. The problem is if it's 11pm at the moment I'm testing this IVR, I can't nicely test the 9am or 2pm branch. GotoIfTimeWithOffset would get 2 incoming arguments : - the first is a time range (just like GotoIfTime), - the second is a duration offset which you could delay or "rewind" time. After testing, you would just have to set this offset to 0, to get a production-ready dialpl...

Asterilink?!?!
Hi, Anyone know anything about asterlink? I've heard good things about them. So I thought I'd give them a try. I went to sign-up.... however, I haven't heard from them, I've called them several times between 9am and 5pm EST and no responce. Called today again after 9am EST, no responce. Tried Sales, Billing, and CS, and got the same person's voicemail! Is this a oneman operation like voipjet?! What good is a service number if you can't call it to get service!! I've left several voicemails,...

buildbot failure in LLVM on clang-native-arm-cortex-a9
Hi, I agree with the principle but 2 days feels a bit short to me since, accounting for time zone differences, it's closer to 1 working day. For example, an email sent at 9am PDT arrives at 5pm BST and (assuming normal working hours) might be read at 9am BST (1am PDT). Daylight savings can also make a difference since timezones that use it don't agree on when it's in effect. The owner taking a single day off is easily sufficient to go past the 2 day limit. Howe...

Limiting Users
When using windows NT and Netware there are ways of limiting the logins of users such as only allowing them on between 9am - 5pm and limiting maximum concurrent connection to one. Is there a way of enforcing these restrictions through samba or similar? Many thanks Gareth Norman

GotoIfTime Function
I am trying to use the GotoIfTime function and get a busy signal. What I am trying to accomplish is to have the system tell callers that we are closed after 5:00pm. Here is the code below. ; If we're open, then go to the open context ; We're open from 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday exten => 3200,1,GotoIfTime(09:00-17:59,mon-fri,*,*?open,3200,1) ; ; We're also late on Tuesday and Thursday exten => 3200,n,GotoIfTime(09:00-19:59,tue&thru,*,*?open,3200,1) ; ; We're also open from 9am to noon on Saturday exten => 3200,n,GotoIfTime(...

cvs bulid breaks on slackware
cvs code from this morning (about 9am PST) breaks on slackware 7.1 w/ gcc 2.95.2.1 with an undefined reference to session_setup_sia in session.o. this seems to be the culprit here: #ifdef HAVE_OSF_SIA #else /* HAVE_OSF_SIA */ session_setup_sia(pw->pw_name, ttyname); since i have no idea what that's trying to a...

sieve vacation message if ....
...vacation "I am on vacation."; >} > >Regards, > >Stephan. I have used this myself. I have always wondered though is it possible to have a vacation message only sent on a weekend. This is the scenario. My office closes on Friday at 4pm and does not reopen until Monday at 9am. I would like to automate a way to have a message sent that states that to customers who send us emails on the weekend. Right now I have to do it manually. Is there another way to do it? Thanks! -- Jerry

Running R at a specific time - alternative to Sys.sleep() ?
Dear R-Help, Is it possible to set R up to run a particular script at specific times of the day? trivial example: If the time is now 8:59:55am and I wish to run a function at 9am, I do the following: my.function <- function(x) { p1 <- proc.time() Sys.sleep(x) print('Hello R-Help!') proc.time() - p1 } my.function (5) [1] "Hello R-Help!" user system elapsed 0 0 5 What I would rather do is just put in the time...

Users losing connection at random
...ymore. But, if we wait five minutes or so it comes right back. There is no need to log off and back on again. Print ques also seem to be affected. I've tried to look for something that is consistent about this problem and so far it is only the times of day that it happens. Usually around 9am or 1pm. Nothing else clicks. I'm using '98, 2k and XP clients throughout my building. It originally started out that it was only the '98 systems who were effected but lately it has spread to some 2k machines. XP does not have the password problem but we do lose access to shares....
