[PATCH v8 8/5] Add UART support and arch timer initialization for OMAP5
Since OMAP UART has a few distinct features than common 8250 UART, I
re-implemented its driver rather than porting it based on ns16550.c.
There are mainly two big differences between the implementations. First,
OMAP UART introduces the concept of register access mode, which divides
the register map into seperated space. Switching the access mode is then

X11 redraw events dropped? (PR#8250)
Full_Name: Keith Frost
Version: 2.1.0
OS: Debian Sarge
Submission from: (NULL) (66.162.141.10)
This has actually been a problem for some time in R under Linux. (I noticed
it under previous builds for Redhat 9 as well.) The graphics device windows
produced by the x11() function do not always get redrawn when they should,
sometimes leaving the device blank when there should be a graph on it.

Serial console hangs with Linux 2.6.20 HVM guest
I am seeing a problem with the Xen emulated serial console. When
running a Linux 2.6.20 HVM guest that has CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU=n, the
guest blocks on output to the console until it receives input keypresses
from `xm console`. This prevents the guest from booting up without
banging on some keys, and makes interactive use of the console
difficult.
By bisecting Linux kernel commits, I found that

Serial port on the domU
...hysical serial port of the dom0
(/dev/ttyS0) typing this in the domU configuration file:
irq = [ 4 ]
ioports = [ "3f8-3ff" ]
The domU starts without any error, but the serial port isn''t recognised.
The /dev/ttyS0 device exists on the domU, and I blacklisted the
serial_core, the 8250 and 8250_pnp modules on the dom0.
What is the problem? Could you help me, please?
Thank you very much!
Bye.

xen/arm: Add the new OMAP UART driver.
TI OMAP UART introduces some features such as register access modes, which
makes its configuration and interrupt handling differs from 8250 compatible
UART. Thus, we seperate this driver from ns16550''s implementation.
