cannot install codeweavers wine
I am trying to install the Codeweavers version of wine (pre-release 2) and I am having problems. When I try to install (using rpm), I get the message "installing package codeweavers-wine-20010112-1 needs 7Mb on the / filesystem". My / filesystem is not overly large, but I still have approx 60Mb available on /. Is the error stating that the install requires 7Mb on /, or it needs 7Mb more than what I have available? Also, why is it wanting to install at the / level and not in a somewhat less dangero...

Heroku Slugsize shot up drastically
Hi, Locally my application is 7MB without tests and logs, etc. The .git folder is 29 MB. I also have no gems / plugins in vendor folder. 95% of images sit on S3. Slow Transfer Speeds (I have read the HOWTO)
Hello, I've been having a few troubles with samba 3. I can only get 4MB/sec writing to the FreeBSD server that it is running on. As its on a 100Mbit network I was expecting at least 6-7MB/sec. I've included the smb.conf below is there anything obvious that I have missed from the config that can be seen as a performance gain or does anyone have any ideas for non samba items that can increase the write speed. str() with attr(*, "names") is extremely slow for long vectors
Hi, I noticed some time ago that, for instance, named vectors that are really makes str() really slow when displaying the names attribute. I don't know exactly when this started, but it wasn't the case say 1-2 years ago. Question about how to reduce samba 3.3.3 install size or why it has been increased dramatically from 3.0.34 to 3.3.3
Hello, can anyone give me some tips why the file size of various samba executables has been increased dramatically from 3.0.34 to 3.3.3 (e.g. smbd 3.5MB -> ~7MB) The reason is that it is necessary for our project to keep the size as small as possible. I am doing some testing with Dovecot and wondered if it was normal for the deliver program to create index files for an Inbox (the test Inbox is over 7MB), but to not update the index files after the initial creation, even though messages continue to come into the mailbox. free space created during partitioning while installing CentOS5.5
I installed CentOS5.5 on Dell Inspiron N5010. During partitioning, when I created swap = 6GB then additional 4MB free space was created and when I created ext3 for linux=217GB, then additional 7MB free space was created. really large file systems with centos
...tomcat based archiving software that would run on this storage server, along with NFS client and server. Its a write once, read almost never kind of application, storing compressed batches of archive files for a year or two. 400TB written over 2 years translates to about 200TB/year or about 7MB/second average write speed. The very rare and occasional read accesses are done by batches where a client makes a webservice call to get a specific set of files, then they are pushed as a batch to staging storage where the user can then browse them, this can take minutes without any problems....

R 2.10 'memory leak'? on OS X
