hap_2mb and hap_1gb options
I wanted to run without 2MB and 1GB EPT pages, so I added "hap_2mb=0 hap_1gb=0" to the Xen grub command line. However I see the following on Xen boot: (XEN) EPT supports 2MB super page. When I bring up a guest I see a non-zero number of 2MB pages in the "xl create" output: xc: info: VIRTUAL MEMORY ARRAN...

[PATCH] permute with 2MB chunk
The memory permutation cause a slow down in case of a save/restore (bug 1143). It works better when the mixing is done with 2MB chunks. [PATCH 1/2] PV hugepages - Xen patch
This patch enables support of hugepages in a pv Xen environment. It is against the latest xen unstable tree on http://xenbits.xensource.com. The patch assumes the guest is passing a physically aligned hugepage. It does reference counting on all the underlying pages. 502 bad gateway on nginx with recv() failed
...e puppetmaster application with its config.ru through unicorn - proxied by nginx. I''m using unix sockets, 4 workers, and 2048 backlog. The clients - after their typical "puppet run" - send back a report to the master in YAML. [PATCH v3 3/5] nouveau: fix mapping 2MB sysmem pages
The nvif_object_ioctl() method NVIF_VMM_V0_PFNMAP wasn't correctly setting the hardware specific GPU page table entries for 2MB sized pages. Fix this by adding functions to set and clear PD0 GPU page table entries. Sftp slow on both our centos installs
The short version. Copying over SFTP to our centos boxes maxes out at 2MB a sec. The Question: Is there some sort of speed limitation somewhere in the ssh/sftp daemon? Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening? The long version We have centos 4.6 installed on 2 different machines, different hardware, different nics. Even on 2 different subnets. I've t...

[Patch][RFC] Super Page Patch
The attached file is the super page patch which supports both 2MB and 4MB (depending on the paging modes of hypervisor) under hardware assisted paging. The idea is to allocate super pages when guests are being created. Whenever such requests cannot be satisfied, it falls back to normal 4KB allocation. Also it splits large pages into normal 4KB pages whenever nece...
