I can't seem to get Age of Empires II to run after successful installation. I have created a new WINEPREFIX directory and installed it there and tried first without directx and with it. It is gold on the appdb so I'm a bit surprised. OS is Ubuntu 8.10 and I have tried with wine 1.1.15, 1.1.14 and 1.01. Each time it dumps the memory. Thanks for any help.

I have a game (The Witcher Enhanced) that worked in 1.1.24, but does not in .25 or .26. I have a Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) PC running Wine 1.0-rc4 and am attempting to install QuickBooks Premier 2007 for a customer who hates Vista and will switch to Linux if I can get this to work.
