Dovecot altmove questions
Hello We are using Dovecot 2.0.17 with mdbox+zlib and we are evaluating alternative storage. These are the relevant settings mdbox_rotate_interval = 1d mdbox_rotate_size=60m [...] zlib_save_level = 9 # 1..9 zlib_save = gz # or bz2 [...] zlib plugin enabled in dovecot-lda These are my questions: 1? General mdbox question. We are happy usings zlib_save, but we would like to try bzip2 compression. Can we change zlib to bzlib without problems? In other words, can...

Creating vegetation distance groups from one column
Hi R listers, I am trying to group distances of nests to the vegetation into classes that are define by (0-5m, 6-10m, 11-15m, 16-20m, 21-25m, 26-30m, 31-35m, 36-40m, 41-45m, 46-50m, 51-55m, 56-60m). Each row is a nest and all the distances to the vegetation is in a column. In plyr, I have tried - below script but I think I am going about this the wrong way and am not successful. #Veg index star = resp Veg.index <- function(values, weights=c(0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55...

Strange memory issue
...as 2 mongrel instances running. According to top, they start at around 50M memory, but within a few pages they are quickly up to 100M. The production systems have 5 mongrels, and they start at around 50M as well. However, hit them with thousands of page views and their memory usage rarely passes 60M. It''s almost as if the GC isn''t running on the test system. There is still plenty of free memory on the prod system (148M). The test system will usually use it all up and often begin swapping. Any thoughts? Any ideas where I might look? I prefer to not even pay for the 512M VM...

Git Transition status?
...ries and everything else being in separate repos. I agree fully. I work on a project that use submodules for external dependencies. For llvm this means compiling and linking statically with dependencies for Linux and OSX platforms. So these: (compiler-rt, libcxx, libcxxabi, libunwind) 141M (.git 60M) I would hesitate to add a dependency that use 1.5G disk space, so if you go with the mono-repo approach I would probably use the supposed read only mirror repos for these modules. This in turn would mean that the hurdle for contributing back to these projects would increase and thus the the like...

Why my script doesn''t work ???
Hi All, I''m using iptables-1.2.7a on RedHat8 kernel 2.4.20. I wanted to limit the file-sharing traffic to the internet. Software RAID and GRUB on CentOS 7
Hi, When I perform a software RAID 1 or RAID 5 installation on a LAN server with several hard disks, I wonder if GRUB already gets installed on each individual MBR, or if I have to do that manually. On CentOS 5.x and 6.x, this had to be done like this: # grub grub> device (hd0) /dev/sda grub> device (hd1) /dev/sdb grub> root (hd0,0) grub> setup (hd0) grub> root (hd1,0) grub>
