Driver for a REDi Blazer 600VA UPS
I'm running NUT 2.6.3 on Debian wheezy [ with a 3.3.0 i686 kernel ] I've installed NUT via Debian APT [ package nut version 2.6.3-1 ] I have a REDi Blazer 600VA (BLAZER600c) UPS and I want to detect power failures. I have tried the following drivers: * gamatronic: Can't talk to UPS on port /dev/ttyS1! * bestups: Unable to detect a Best/SOLA or Phoenix protocol UPS * blazer_ser: No supported UPS detected I have also tried genericups with upstype=4, ups...

Mustek Powermust 600VA
Hi, I'm having a hard time configuring a Mustek Powermust 600VA ups to work via USB with nut. I read somewhere that nut works OK via the rs232 cable, but unfortunately I don't have a COM port in my computer. The kernel detects the ups as an Xbox pad :) and loads the xpad module. I tried running /lib/nut/megatec with different /dev/ttySx but it displays me...

Upsmon and Winnut disconnect regularly
Hi All! This time I'm using Nut 2.2.0, Debian etch and kernel v. 2.6.23.9. My hardware config is quite simple. There are 2 PCs connected to my PowerMust 600VA. One is mensioned above the other is a Windows PC using Winnut 2.0.0b. The Linux PC is connected to the UPS via a serial cable and acts as the server. The problem is that both upsmon and winnut disconnect regularly but in random moments. First I've been using kernel v. 2.6.22.1 and tried upgra...

Cyber Power USB UPS'.
Greetings: I'm evaluating two replacements for UPS upgrades to my dept. Because the CyberPower OP650 has been retired, we are evaluating the CyberPower600VA and the CyperPower 1000AVRLCD. We will be evaluating others. Initial configuration and communications are established via the usbhid-ups driver, the gambit of tests are all passed with the exception of one. I seem to be failing the power race test. As I understand it the power race test happen...

Megatec and Batteries
...all, I am new on the lists but using nut on megatec for last two and half years. Looking at archives I saw that there is a lot of people confused about battery voltage and I want to help them to clear out some stuff in their heads. This story is based on my experience with UPS devices from 600VA to 20kVA, from single phase systems to three phase systems, with battery packs from 1 battery to 62 batteries in both technologies interactive (aka stand-by) and on-line (aka double-conversion) but all of them were "speaking" megatec. Anyway this does not necessarily relater only to mega...

New Mustek UPS model working
...e ever seen (seriously). Secondarily I'd like to help the NUT project as far as my help is needed, I'm not a programmer (by now...) but I would like to help somehow anyway. I have 3 UPS from the same manufacturer by now, the Mustek PowerMust 1000VA Plus, PowerMust 800VA Pro and PowerMust 600VA USB and the first two of these are listed in the NUT's compatibility page as "full compatible" using the "megatec" driver: in fact they perfectly work. I would like to report that also the third one is compatible using the megatec driver, both via RS232 and via USB port. So...

Best echo-free and trouble-free system?
We currently have a 15-phone system using Asterisk, a combination of analog phones/Grandstream HandyTone-286 and Grandstream BT101s, and 4 X100Ps connected to analog lines. The system works well except for the occasional echo problem. I have all the echo parameters configured, removed all the extra incoming analog lines except to the PBX, etc. following all the advice on the wiki and on the

Mustek
Hi all, I'm thinking buying a UPS Mustek PowerMust 600 USB to shutdown a Linux box on case of power failure. Can I use nut with this UPS without problems? I checked the page http://www.vamos-wentworth.org/upsinfo.html and was only something (incomplete) about Powermust 400 (information from November 2005). Could this be already changed? Thanks in advance.

Maxxtro ups
Hello all, I bought a (very) cheap maxxtro 600VA line interactive ups and i was trying to make it work with nut. Since I thought it was a simple contact closure ups, I tried all genericups drivers but none worked. usb ups on openindiana
...they are supposed to, then we would have no problem since the usbhid-ups driver IS autodetecting, all we would have to do is tell people if they have a USB ups, use usbhid-ups But what screws the pooch is that many USB UPSes use their serial protocol over the USB port. Your only working with a 600VA ups plugged into 1 device so you don't understand the issues here. The typical production business may have multiple servers plugged into a large ups. They cannot have the system that the UPS is plugged into, spewing all kinds of different autodetection data strings out the serial port (or U...

usb ups on openindiana
Hello all, I am trying to set up my brother's UPS (remotely over internet) on an OpenIndiana-based storage box. According to him, the UPS is probably an Ippon Back Power Pro 600 dated around 2003 (battery recently replaced), and it has an USB connection. Sorry for a relatively long post with a log of my successes and failures, in the hopes that someone would point out what I did wrong.
