5v capable motherboards
Anyone have a suggestion on where I can get a decent new MB with 5v capable PCI slots. It seems like every decent server MB on the market has 3.3V slots only. Is diving into the junkbin my only choice if I can't afford to replace the 5v quad-T1 wildcard? Thanks Mark Farver

E100P works with PCI 3.3V and 5V?
Hi, I just bought the E100P from digium. It has both keys: 3.3V and 5V, so it would fit both, in a 5V-PCI slot and in a 3.3V PCI slot. Is it true, that I can plug it without destroying it in an ordenary 5V PCI slot? Roger.

void your warranty and get a 3.3V/5V TE405P
...on it though. :-) Why? Because I wanted a quad-span T1 card which worked in the high-end systems I was intending it for, but that I could also keep a few in stock and if the system mainboard failed, pull the card an put it in a standard PC system. I didn't want to have to stock 3.3V and 5V exclusive cards, and the TE405P hardware looked like it could handle it. I am sure that Digium goofed when they gave the card a 5V PCI card edge instead of a universal 3.3V/5V one -- Hopefully their next batch of TE405P cards will have a universal card edge and they will phase out the TE410P....

Is it mandatory to give power supplytoTDM400Pcard
No I got confused....yes they are FXO modules with POTS lines coming from bell attached. The only thing I can think of is that since the card supports 3.3v or 5v PCI slots that maybe on a 3.3v slot it requires the other connection all the time because it really does need the 5v and is just not picky about where it comes from. -Jonathan -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com...

PCI voltage
Hi all, I have to bought a PCI with 4 PRI but on digium site I saw that there a re two different kind (3,3V and 5v). What's the difference? Which one I have to buy for do not have any problem with this motherboard? (Gygabyte GA-8S661FXM-775). I checked on Gigabyte website but I don't find any kind of this value :-| Thanks all Giordano -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachme...

OT: Grandstream power supplies..
...online (In the UK using Maplin let me know if you know a better place.) becasue it would probbaly take too long to get one sent from China or the US and I need to get that station operational again.. There seem to be many choices for power supplies.. Looking on the bottom of the broken one it is a 5VDC 400mA output.. When I looked online for a new one the choices are for regulated, unregulated and switch mode power supplies with the regulated and switch mode ones being VERY much more expensive than the unregulated ones.. Which kind would do the job?? Also most of the variable output adapters...

Weekend Puzzle: computer posing as an UPS
...ts (like upsmon running on the Pi) to > disconnect before proceeding with its own power-off/reboot. Wow, I never would have guessed that this is a workable approach (running the Pi this way not the nut part). Do you have ports that are more than 500 mA, and does the Pi (pi0?) really work with 5V 500 mA?

Dell PowerEdge 2850
Hello, Digium uses the Dell PE 2850 for their testing. This site says that 3.3V PCI slot. http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+hardware We are planning on purchasing a Dell PE 2850 and putting a TE205P card on it. However, the needs a 5V PCI slot. Does Dell PE 2850 has a 5V PCI slot? A person in our group tried to call Dell's customer support but they do not seem to know. We will also be using RHEL ES 4 as the OS. Anybody have experience (good/bad) for this type of configuration? We are going to use it primarily as...

Server recommendation help
...). I have determined it is because of a IRQ problem and have decided to get a new server. Can anyone suggest a server grade setup that supports this? I would rather not buy a machine that will be unstable. I am not opposed to building one if need be. Cards I have installed: Digium TE205P - 5v TDM410 Thanks for any suggestions Richard -- This message was scanned by ESVA and is believed to be clean.

Soekris net4801 and analog interface?
Is anyone using a net4801 and an analog only setup? I am looking for a modem that is PCI 3.3V, apparently the X100P is 5.0V PCI only so it won't work with the net4801.

PATA Hard Drive woes
Hi All. Yesterday I was installing Centos 5.5 to my web server, and it looks like the main hard drive has gone AWOL. Fedora 12 put the file system into r/o mode. The drive is an Hitachi, still under warranty. There are bad sectors on it, and running the Hitachi DFT tool confirms this. Also I cannot repair the bad sectors. Would this be caused by a faulty I/O chip, or is it safe to say

That, or use a low current source such as the fan header to control a 5v switch feeding the pi from a different source. Same net result, and no excess loads on your mobo. (Might be able to work this into the case using a spare power supply connector to feed it . . .) Still have not figured out why though, but that's not relevant to what you are trying to accomplish...

UPS cooling
I've kludged together a cooling solution for my UPS - one USB cable, one 8cm fan from an old unused computer (nominally 12V, but running it at 5V is fine), two short pieces of copper wire and a few fragments of power cable insulation to hold the wires in place against the 5V and GND pins (let's just say that shorting 5V with a data pin doesn't sound like a good idea to me). Leaving it pointed at one of my UPS's air vents, I get...

T100P specs
Does anyone have the physical spec sheet for the T100P from Digium? The one on the website doesn't have what I need. Things like 3.3 or 5v operation, uses n IRQ channels, requires 32-bit PCI, must be installed while standing on one foot and reciting the GPL, etc. Also, if anyone is selling a used T100P or TE4xxP I'd like to talk... Thanks, --Ernest
