The Eaton 5P 850G and the 5P 1000 have the option "Auto start delay":
Load segments - Auto start delay [No Delay] [1 s] [2 s]…[65354 s]
The connected load is powered after the specified delay.
Defaults: Group 1: 3 s Group 2: 6 s

Eaton 5P (5P1500RT)
So based on the compatibility page, I might be okay with the 5P. The
page specifically mentions the 5PX.
Anyone using this UPS?
When looking at Eaton UPS's I excluded any of the older ones that use
the BCM driver since that driver provides little functionality as I've
learned with the 5110.
There's also the Evo, but I would prefer to have one...

RS-232 Port with Nut
Hello All,
I am trying to read my Eaton 5P 1550 with the Rs-232 port but I cannot get nut to read the driver from my Rs-232 to USB adaptor.
When I perform lsusb -t it says my B&B electronics adaptor uses driver
ftdi_sio
How do I get the nut to read information coming from that??
Thanks,
Connor

Adding printer stops with "Operation could not be completed"
When trying to add the drivers downloaded & extracted from HP

I also tried installing win95/98 drivers. In this case some files are
copied but then I get the equivalent of the above message for 95/98.

Fatal EEPROM fault!
On Thu, Mar 23, 2017 at 11:26 AM, Gene Heskett <gheskett at shentel.net> wrote:

Eaton shows a firmware file:
https://powerquality.eaton.com/Support/Software-Drivers/Downloads/5P-UPS-firmware.asp
However I'm not sure if it is for the questionable EEPROM and if so
maybe it is downlevel from the current reported firmware.
upsc shows:
ups.firmware: 04
and the file is apparently:

Help with printing
Good Evening:
I have three machines in a small home network. One of the machines runs Red
hat Linux 9 with Samba 2.2.7a. Attached to the Linux box is an HP LaserJet

utility, and can print from the Linux box. The other two machines in my home
network run Windows XP Professional. I'm trying to configure both of the
machines to use the Laser printer attached to the Linux box. If I go to My...
