...ave three Centos machines that were automatically upgraded from 5.5. to 5.6. Everything appears to be running perfect except httpd had stopped delivering web service on all three machines. I did a cursive look to see if there had been a reported bug and found : http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=4796 When I changed : chown root.apache /etc/httpd/alias/*.db chmod 0640 /etc/httpd/alias/*.db The problem was fixed on all three machines. I currently have 2 samba servers (3.0.25a) one running FreeBSD 6.2 and the other running CentOS 5. Both are setup the same and using the same smb.conf. The FreeBSD server works great, no problems. I am trying to compile R-3.3.0 and/or R-3.3.1 on computational cluster running Centos 6.6 I have custom installation of zlib 1.2.8 , but it's not in default /lib /usr/lib /usr/include location and configure script keeps failing when looking for it. It doesn't seem to care if correct zlib.h is in path and always seems to find one in /usr/include
