Problems with Broadcom 4312 wireless
Hello David,
In brief, I've solved this problem on my Dell Inspiron 1525 (with
Broadcom 4312 wireless card), so I figured letting You know would be
nice, 'cause it didn't seem like the issue is resolved.
Visit this link:

and in addition check out the comment on the same page by Andre Kiepe to
have the modules load on boot.
Best Regards,
Milos.

Which external WiFi device for laptop running CentOS 5.3?
Have decided to give up on the embedded Broadcom 4312 wireless device in
my son's Dell laptop. I get WEP open authentication to work, but
nothing else. I was about to dump the bcm43xx kernel module and the
bcm43xx-microcode5.fw firmware and work with the newer b43 module and
associated firmware. However, he claims that at school, he has always...

Problem with R 2.9.0 vs. R2.8.1 with either "survival" package or "predict" function
Just wanted to alert everyone regarding a problem that I only
experience with R2.9.0 and not with R2.8.1 when I run both using
exactly the same script and the same data.
Here is what I do with my data "MyData", 2 predictors (V1 and V2) and
my survival DV "Depvar":

...ege loaded with virii and

5.3 went onto the laptop easily and after doing some research, I applied
the guidance for getting multimedia working and got the nvidia driver
loaded. That works great.
Last problem is with the Broadcom 4312 wireless device. Again, did some
research and found two ways. One was the Broadcom provided Linux
driver, and the other was the guidance on how to use fw-cutter from
linuxwireless.com.
Had a problem getting the Broadcom driver to compile (failed with a

Open CallerID Database?
...For those
of you in the same spot we are, our current provider only provides us with
the CND, excluding CNAM.
Would creating a public database, managed by users be worthwhile to anyone?
Thanks - Any input is greatly appreciated.

Looks like a better regex can fix this.

...installing, dovecot generates a key and cert. But he is using the
wrong common name (where does dovecot get this name from?). I tried
deleting them and installing a handcrafted cert with this:
openssl genrsa -out mail.key 2048
openssl req -new -key mail.key -out mail.csr
openssl x509 -req -days 4312 -in mail.csr -out mail.cert -signkey mail.key
after that i tried to update the dovecont.conf to point to the new

dovecot can't read the certificate file.
With dpkg-reconfigure dovecot-common, dovecot generates new ones, a...

...ytime rsync runs.
Here are the stats from the -v option:
NT 1st pass wrote 432 bytes read 214537 bytes total 587944 speedup is 2.74
NT 2nd pass wrote 16 bytes read 770 bytes total 587944 speedup is 748.02
98 1st pass wrote 432 bytes read 214537 bytes total 587944 speedup is 2.74
98 2nd pass wrote 4312 bytes read 1200 bytes total 587944 speedup is 106
What is really starnge is why did 98 write more on the second pass then on
the first pass ?
Is this a cygwin bug or an rsync bug ?
-Thanks

Caching Caller Name
...a.
My voip provider supports caller id lookups, but charges a bit for each lookup. I'm thinking about writing a basic PHP script (through AGI) to cache these lookups for say 90 days. Is there an obvious problem with this?
Thanks

Broadcom wireless card: installation script for Linux-STA driver
Hi,
I just installed CentOS 6.6 on my HP Pavilion DM1 laptop. The wireless
card is only poorly supported in the default setup, so I decided to
write an installation script for the Linux-STA driver, which works
perfectly.
https://github.com/kikinovak/centos/blob/master/6.x/broadcom-sta/broadcom-sta.sh
Grab the files:
# git clone https://github.com/kikinovak/centos
Run the script:
# cd
