Hello list, I have been trying to figure out the whole day how I can connect our old Trust UPS Energy Protector 400VA with nut. But I have not made any progress yet and the worst is: I have no idea where to start although I read the documentation and search the web. My first problem is how to find out which driver I should take because this UPS is not in the compatibility list. The second issue is that it seems...

I've installed everything from sources (NUT 2.0.1) on freebsd 5.4 and it detects the ups, it tells me about the voltages etc. When the battery charge reaches certain level it tells me that the battery is low and the system will shutdown but nothing happenes. In logs I can only find: upsmon[386]: Executing automatic power-fail shutdown upsmon[384]: Unable to call shutdown command

...T, but I think this is of possible interest to many of you, I need to get a UPS for my asterisk box. They are rated in VA but I can't quite figure out how that converts to real life. I have a PIII-800 box with two X100P and one TDM400P plus graphics adapter, an IDE hard drive etc. Will a small 400VA box be enough for this? tia

...ions only the "APC Back-UPS ES/CyberFort 350" as compatible and does not give more information about the full APC/MGE family devices. Also, I'm not sure that an APC Back-UPS ES 550VA or its equivalent 700VA is the same device as the described Back-UPS ES. For instance, APC Back-UPS ES 400VA doesn't even have an usb port to communicate with the pc. It becomes hard to know if all such devices on the market are nut compatible. Thanks for your help.
