Icecast 2.4x Metadata doesn't clear if net file has none
I don't know if I have something set wrong in icecast.xml or not, but on my old server (version forgotten, installed 2009), if I streamed two files with the first one having metadata present but the second had none, Icecast wouldn't stream anything when the second file streamed. On my 4.21 server, when the second file streams, it shows metadata left over from the first file. I just

estimating NA values against selected slots
Dear R Users, Could you please help me on the following issue? I have a real large yearly data set. For each year I have 365 flow values. Some of the flow values are not known and that’s why you will see NA written in those slots. I wanted to know, is there a way that I can estimate those values? I tried approx command but it seems least helpful for the kind of issue I am up against.

PESQ results for speex 1.0.3
Hello! Some time back, I added the Speex protocol to my version of VOCAL (www.vovida.org, VOIP tool). Recently, I also added PESQ (automated voice quality testing algorithm) to my tool and have been running some tests on a clean network. The source file is a woman reading some phrases meant to test various aspects of codecs... Speex has a respectable result of 3.67 Some other codecs I've

Symbol NetVision phone with chan_h323 - Complete Success!
Just thought I'd share my success with chan_h323 and our Symbol NetVision phone (4046-100-US). Voice quality is excellent, and setup was trivial. The new NetVision firmware (4.21) is much better than the 3.x stuff. It gives the phone a whole new look and feel. The hardest (and longest) part was getting OpenH323 compiled. After that, H.323 ran out of the box. I simply uncommented

Select part of character row name in a data frame
Dear R contributors, I have a problem in selecting in an efficient way, rows of a data frame according to a condition, which is a part of a row name of the table. The data frame is made of 64 rows and 2 columns, but the row names are very long but I need to select them according to a small part of it and perform calculations on the subsets. This is the example: X Y "Unique to

Automatically Extracting F- and P- vals from ANOVA
Dear R community, I'm currently using R to analyze functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging data. Each analysis involves running ~120,000 repeated-measures ANOVAs. I would like to know if there is any automatic way to access the F- and P-value data that are associated with each of these 120,000 ANOVAs. For example, if the summary output (for the 1st ANOVA of 120,000) shows the following value
