Restoring a DomU HVM-Domain is "slow" (Bandwidth 23MB/sec from a ramdisk, xen3.2.1)
Hi,
i do some tests with restoring HVM winxp-domU''s.
Even, if i restore a saved DomU from a ramdisk, the
Restoring-process has only a bandwidth about 23MB/sec:
Here a example restoring an 512MB HVM opensuse10.3 DomU

[1] 169
it is different with bj2 and bj1 . and the array bjyearnum is
[1] 0 279 448 633 1021 1365 1813 2237 2839 3314 3798 4157 12
why bj1 is 169 while bj2 is 448 ?
how to let bj2 is also array with the length 169 ?
thank you .

Upgrading from Debian Stretch to Buster, Van Belle package
Hello,
I am preparing for upgrading from Debian Stretch to Buster.
I am using Louis Van Belle's Samba packages.
My current Samba version is:
# smbstatus --version
Version 4.7.7-Debian
I can see that the Samba version that will be installed, when I upgrade
from Stretch to Buster, will be the 4.11 since this is the current
stable release...
I would like to know if there are major changes

Name Resolve Order : parameter of smb.conf with testparm
...use it is not a

Thus, I would like to know if the documentation of samba is incorrect about
this configuration or testparm is with a problem to create the smb.conf.

Purpose of ''yield'' in layout file in Flickr video?
During the excellent flickr video, the presenter
adds the following to the applications layout file:
<body>
<%= yield %>
</body>
What is the purpose of the ''yield'' line? I would think
there would be a content_for_layout tag there instead.
Thanks,
Don

It seems the file descriptor disappears while the system call (read) is
reading from it?
I ran out of ideas. Can anybody drive me to the right direction?

va_end(ap);

I believe line 3314 of the file main/config.c should be
realtime_arguments_to_fields2(ap, 1, &update_fields);
I have changed it and it works for me - but -
1) I don't know what else this may effect
2) I dont know how to pass this on to the development team

R as a programming language
Greetings -- coming from Python/Ruby perspective, I'm wondering about
certain features of R as a programming language.
Say I have a huge table t of the form
run ord unit words new
1 1 6939 1013 641
1 2 275 1001 518
1 3 3314 1008 488
1 4 14154 1018 463
1 5 2982 1006 421
Alternatively, it may have a part column in front. For each run (in
a part if present), I select ord and new columns as x and y and plot
their functions in various ways. t is huge. So I want to select the...
