[Xen-users] Restoring a DomU HVM-Domain is "slow" (Bandwidth 23MB/sec from a ramdisk, xen3.2.1)
Hi, i do some tests with restoring HVM winxp-domU''s. Even, if i restore a saved DomU from a ramdisk, the Restoring-process has only a bandwidth about 23MB/sec: Here a example restoring an 512MB HVM opensuse10.3 DomU ...... [Xen-users] AW: Restoring a DomU HVM-Domain is "slow" (Bandwidth 23MB/sec from a ramdisk, xen3.2.1)
Hi developer (-: i asked the xen-solaris forum, if this bad xm-restore performance told below happens also on a solaris-Dom0 ( refer to http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?forumID=53&threadID=64554 ) I got the answer, that solaris "xm restore/save" is much more (about 70MB/sec @ zfs-volume) faster... Is there no way to improve this performance also on linux-Dom0 systems ? Or do I have to change my Dom0..
